In this video I give an overview of the crosscut fence I built for my Powermatic table saw, plus the other accessories I added to the saw.

I just stumbled on your channel. GREAT Job! I L😍VE 80/20 extrusions! It totally makes sense why you chose the lower profile bearings and IMHO the profiles rails are better than the round rails for this application. The round ones are great for Router Slab Sleds, etc. uhhhh your channel is going to get expensive for me! Brilliant idea on the digital angle finder as well. Now I’m going back and forth between a SawStop and Powermatic. But you at least just saved me money from buying an Incra crosscut sled or an expensive sliding table saw attachment. Thanks again!

Found your channel when I was searching Avid CNC about a year ago. Now your giving me ideas on the table saw...Love it thanks! I really like the design of this slider. Like you, I have been looking at sliders, but I don't see anything on the market that looks solid. Keep it up!

I have been looking for this. I am a big fan of 80/20 and use it for most of my fences and crosscut sleds. The only problem I see for me is the distance to the blade from the slider. I should have bought a true sliding table saw , but I am a little shy on footprint space. Thank you, this gives my some ideas to spend more money on tooling. You can never have enough toys.

Nice video and I like the design. (mostly). complelely understand the struts down to the mobile base, makes the entire thing mobile without having to deal with vertical legs. Quick question -- what is the width from the edge of the table saw? I am going to build similar, and you gave me the final "inspiration" to derive exactly how to finish my design. I noticed you have the motor door blocked, do you just pop the pins and remove the door if you need to get in there? finally, why linear slides instead of the round bearing blocks? With the round blocks, you can let the slides come off the blocks without having all the bearings fall out of the blocks. Clearly a lot of thought put into this, well done, and will use your design as much as appropriate.

Hi Cory, The width from the edge of the left wing to the outside of the sliding table is 24.5". They table is 6' long. The motor door is blocked from swinging. The powermatic latch for that cover was a piece of junk anyway, so I replaced it with a simple tapped L bracket on the saw cabinet, and a threaded rod with a knob on it on the door. When I need to get in the cabinet, I just set the blade to 45 degrees, unscrew the knob, and slide up the hinge pins and just pull off the door. Its gives be a lot better access anyway with the door completely off. I like the linear slides because they bolt on easily and low profile, and I have experience with them from my CNC. I'm sure the round type would work fine as well, you'd have to allow more room between the base brackets and the sliding table I think. I haven't had to remove the table, so the balls falling out of the bearing blocks haven't been an issue, but also they come with plasic inserts that can be installed when you pull out the rails if you need to retain the bearings. Send me an email at jnwdwks@gmail.com and I can send you some more details of the underside on the bearings and the door latch if you like.
