A technical masterpiece on the high seas: The installation of the #offshore platform for the Baltic Eagle wind farm. During the work on the #substation in the Baltic Sea, a special installation ship was used, because the construction of the platform weighs over 4000 tons. In the future, the substation collects the #electricity generated by 50 wind turbines at the Baltic Eagle wind farm, transforming it to a higher voltage level. 50Hertz already laid the sea and land cables over the past two years as part of the Ostwind 2 project.
