Heavy Pike Setup | Best Pike Lures

Quick run through my heavy lures and all setup for pike fishing.
Rod:
Savage Gear SG4 Power Game 7.3ft, 50-100g.
Reel:
Daiwa BG 4000
Braid line:
Shimano Kairiki I think 34kg
Fluorocarbon leeder made from:
Berkley Trilene Big Game 0,81mm.
Swivels: size 4, 60lbs
Snap Swivel:
Daiwa Prorex Snap Swivel (size XL; mat black; 32kg/65lbs)
Lures:
Swim baits, Jerk baits, Jigfly, big soft plastic lures with paddle tail and with curly tail, smaller soft plastic lures for jigging, soft plastic swim bait lure with line thru system, mouse or another creature imitating lure Miuras Mouse.
Backpack: Fox Rage
Landing net: Effzett

I used to use that berkley fluoro intill upgraded to 150lb top knot yo zuri fluoro - cost a lot to get in the uk but its 100% worth the upgrade

Thanks for sharing! looking into a good reel for casting up to 120gr lures. Would you recommend the BG?

Glad to help 😁 in general everyone is saying that for very heavy lures baitcasters are better. But i used this BG for long time and it did very good job. It is a bit heavy reel comparing to some new ones but very strong

@@ManAndRod I hate using baitcasters )) That's good news, i prefer strong and smooth over weight savings.

I'm not fan of baitcasters as well 😅 i don't know what another reels you have, i vet in market there is some better ones but for that price i think it is brilliant reel

@@ManAndRod Been 2 decades since i went predator fishing and for all the other fishing i've done i always used Shimani baitrunners. From a 4500B over 10000gtea's to Big baitrunners. Ocasionally used a Daiwa exceler. So really, no experience with spinning reels actually. And yeah...that price...i think its crazy cheap. Will pull the plug and go for the 4500.

Hi mate🤝 I bought it a while ago and at this time many online shops were selling them. I tried to find who is selling now but unfortunately it looks like everywhere this bag is sold out 😔 I'm sure eventually it will be back on sales but probably nobody can tell when. You can try to call any online shop who used to have, maybe they will know.
