South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is facing severe flooding due to relentless downpours, causing rivers to burst their banks. The Xijiang River surged, peaking at 24.10 meters in Wuzhou City, 5.6 meters above the warning level. The "No. 2 Flood" of 2024 has significantly impacted Guigang City, with nine rivers exceeding warning levels. Control measures are in place for key waterways. Flood control efforts are ongoing, with large-scale water pumps deployed to drain affected areas, as water levels remain dangerously high in multiple river sections.
