Hello there! Project Incursus here!
Today we're doing a safe-ish mortar build guide, and explaining all the steps along the way! This is done in a live match, so you guys can see how to handle the opposing forces.

Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

Man those sniper hits just in between repairing and shooting. Also the accuracy on the angle for the mortars. No test shot only pur destructive power

I like the "tryhard" aka serious games in vanilla, the mods are too unbalanced imo :)

flak is soft counter, it can hit mortars and turbines on the roof, and you can transition into shotgun

Holding CTRL + (any number) will add currently selected weaponry to control groups. You can then re-select them using the relevant number you added them to.

So... I play against AI with infinite resources and indefinite upgrades. i'm not a competitive type in all honesty. But with infinite resources the carnage starts VERY quickly and I've played hectic matches of constant shooting and repair trying to get gimmick cannon and shredder tier 9 chainguns up and running. You'd be surprised how much damage three chainguns can dish out when you've upgraded them 15 times lol.

I like them. The only problem is, the miniguns bounce right off slanted armor and shields, no matter how many upgrades you give them.

A few years late but. Ctrl + any number key to set a group and then the same number key to reselect that group. Press e while selecting a weapon to refire it in the previous fired location.

I'm a newb, so this might not be right but...explosive ammo would still damage the metal, and the increased repair cost would be worse for Incursus. Plus, you saw how close it was from him getting shot and him being able to retaliate, putting some metal down would only have slowed him down.

I think it's because metal is too expensive, heavy, and that it would probably still be damaged adding further expenses and problems to deal with. Forts built in that configuration are very prone to having too much weight on too little support and collapsing. If any of you even care still.
