Looks like my fellow guys at ARDOT had you going down U.S. 71/59, which is the most direct route on that side of the state from MO to Texas. I lived in Mena most of my life, now in Clarksville. Did you stop in New Boston, TX? Maybe sometime during my life time we'll have the funding to get I-49 done from Ft Smith to Texarkana. The new bridge over the Arkansas River finally got funding, so there is hope.

Texas oversize routes are the absolute worst I used to run a pilot car ran a lot of loads for Bennett out of Long Beach

I just want to start off on saying congratulations on the new baby boy that's awesome. You mentioned the Facebook group. I drive for Warren transport as a specialize driver hauling combines and other stuff like that. I posted a picture of my truck with a Case combine I just picked up. I got bashed so hard just because of the type of truck I drive. I drive a automatic 2024 volvo. I did receive some supportive comments but 98% was like I got a crappy truck and this and that. I like the group I really do but if it's not a certain type of truck or if the truck is an automatic or just simply the truck and trailer doesn't have enough axles all I see is drivers bashing in the comments. Me personally I'm not going to bashing a driver for their ride. They make the same money kinda as all the other drivers. It looks the same and spends the same. I really didn't know how to bring this up so I did it here.

congratulations on the birth of your future heavy hauler. I can’t believe how disgusting so many supposed truck drivers have become I know there are a lot of really good drivers left who still take pride in their ride and the job they do and the image they present on behalf of themselves and their companies too their customers and the shippers and I think it is time for you good drivers to start self reporting when you see someone just throwing their garbage on the ground particularly in truck stops and pickle parks as those yahoos are ruining it for everyone that is why so many places won’t allow big trucks at all or no overnight parking. I think you should talk too the owners or managers of the truck stops and ask if they will prosecute if you see someone dumping their garbage or part of their load on the ground and I would love for them too be fined and put out of service until they spend 10 hrs picking up trash at the place where they are caught and that time logged as on duty not driving so they loose those hrs and don’t get paid by making them up
