I STILL wish Hebron would have gone to grand nationals because they would have slayed but going to the rose bowl is also a great privilege and they are highly deserving. Bravo!

you only go once every 4 years and they went back in 2019 so they couldnt have gone this year

@@thatdfwtrashguy3937 idk if thats actually true. my band goes every 3 years, and multiple bands go every year.

@@thatdfwtrashguy3937 that’s not true it just depends on the school and how much it would cost to travel for hebron’s case it cost them $1M for their grand nats trip so that’s why it’s only 4 years for hebron

I get goosebumps watching the drum line just play their hearts out…you can tell they love what they do
@murraydog82582 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! Even with the sound off you can FEEL them playing. Being able to see the drumline is a silver lining in the rainy day that forced a standstill performance :).

First, thanks to Music213 for videoing the bands in the less than perfect weather. I wish the rain could have held off until next week. Hebron just amazes me. All bands invited to participate in the parade are outstanding but Hebron blew me away this year with their show. A well deserved title of Texas State Champions. You also looked and sounded great today in the parade. Job well done!

What a great band to say the least. This group was on a much higher plane than the other groups for sure. I mean, they were playing more difficult music at a level higher than the college bands I saw at this event. A testimonial to the dedication of the staff and students at this school. You are to be commended and congratulated on such a fine program. You have gained a new fan. 😊

Maybe find a way to be complimentary towards this fine band without insulting all the other hard working bands that were there. M'kay?
@pufflerate1232 жыл бұрын
@@whoitisnot all the other hard working bands were amazed by this, likely agree, and mostly all love Hebron's performance. while i respect what you're trying to do, the level they were on this year was so high
@whoitisnot2 жыл бұрын
@@pufflerate123 I'm sorry that you apparently just can't quite do it, but I respect the fact that you sort of tried. Band culture is apparently something you are not that familiar with, or you missed out on one of the most important lessons that it teaches.
@pufflerate1232 жыл бұрын
@@whoitisnot both familiar with it and the lesson it taught. this isn't what the point was. i was trying to say that the poster wasn't insulting other bands. to say they're on a 'higher plane" isn't saying the others are on a low one, it's just saying the extreme progress of this band

My absolute favorite part about this is that you get to hear the technical mastery that the winds and drumline are achieving in the "Penstriped" show without the help of the bass boosted subwoofer depth charges, the synthesized sound layers, the amplified soloists...or the shotgun mics. It still sounds amazing!

Music213, thanks for your great coverage, of their field show music, and splicing their marching pieces at the end. Despite the rain, they brought a bright ray of Texas heat and light on a cold and rainy day. Pure awe and joy! Better still was the magnificent weather and experience during the Parade!
@Music2132 жыл бұрын
My pleasure, David. Hebron blew me away with their playing of music and under the rain! It's unfortunate they couldn't do their entire show that I was really looking forward to seeing (I saw the YT videos), but this was an incredible performance nonetheless.

8:20 Gotta love the trade off but honestly they couldn't have done a great job without drum majors who know how to lead. They owe it to you because you put in the time for them. They might refuse to take a bow but that just shows how much your valued as a Drum Major. Most don't get appreciated that much. The audience normally would be talking but I don't think it happened because this band was so well together.

This band makes me feel pretty bad about my own skills bc it seems that no part of the band is bad, yet my own band, half of the members barely even put effort into their own performance, which I feel is dragging me down. Me and my friend are the 2 leading trombones in our band and tbh, probably in the top 10 of the whole band, yet could barely play this music. This isn’t even my band directors fault, I mean he was a trumpet for the Blue Devils, he is just being dealt a pretty bad hand. I just wish my band could have members that put in as much effort into our music and performance as much as schools like Hebron do.
