I like her association with dogs and other animals. My whole life I have loved dogs and horses, all animals really. Never owned a horse, but rode a few as I grew up. I have had many dogs, some cats as well. My first dog was a golden lab, pittie mix that was my nanny dog. I revere them more than humans. OK, not sure where I was going with this, but bravo to Hekate and her dogs.

Congratulations on your dedication! This video is timely for me because I also had been reading about Santa Muerte during the past week or so and considering working with her but was then hit with a reminder that just because I am drawn to a particular path or spirit, or I find it beautiful, does not mean it is right for me. I decided instead to really apply myself to working with the two deities who have been in my life for a while: Poseidon (almost a year now) and Odin (close to two decades, but there have been massive ups and downs during that time, similarly to your relationship with Hekate, and the past five years or so have been REALLY rocky). Well, the funny thing is that both of my deities have been very eager, for about the past year, for me to begin working with Hekate, and I've been doing a one step forward, two steps back dance with her during that time. So this was a nice kick in the ass for me. :)

So lovely. A dedication is so deeply personal so thank you for sharing part of your beautiful relationship with her. Your altar is really beautiful as well. It took me a lot of time before dedicating to Holda. Years! Partly because of my Catholic upbringing and partly because I was afraid of the commitment. She knew this and was patient with me, thankfully. You are so fortunate to work with a deity that so many others know. You have books. So many books have been written about her. Having to navigate working with a less popular deity has been challenging. Not much information about her out there. Not many have written about a relationship with her. It sometimes has me thinking about writing a book about having a relationship with her but then again It's kind of nice to just have her for myself. I will let her decide.

This was quite comforting to hear honestly. I hadn't realized the signs but hekate has been with me throughout a lot of my life, once I did realize a couple years ago (maybe 2-3 years into my practice at that point) I started working with her immediately. Unfortunately though my life got really dark and really heavy for a really long time so I lost touch with my practice and with hekate. When I tell you I felt terrible about it it's seriously an understatement. I realize now after recently hearing her calls and reaching back out to her that maybe it was just a part of the journey she's been guiding me through. It makes me feel a lot less guilty having not spent dedicated time with her after hearing your story. Thank you 🖤✨

I think I've finally gotten my Algorithm where I want it to be, because it's recommending so many good channels here recently, including yours! Being among Hecate's Number is quite a ride, for sure. Her energy is both wild and wonderful. I'm also glad to see so many people connecting Hecate with Santa Muerte; I've had similar thoughts! Thank you for this video. I do chaos magick so working with dieties and goddesses has never been really my thing. But, I have been having these crazy dreams and she comes up a lot out of no where. So, I need to heed the call and really just have no idea where to start with this. Most of my practice is ritualistic, servitors, and study of the Goetia.

I got a “mad” urge to get hold of a completely shed snakeskin a couple of months ago & had no idea why I had to get it as I’ve never used it in my practice. It looks just like yours. Holy shit, this was fantastic Justin! I'm definitely interested in hearing you talk more about Hekate. I've heard Her calling for a long time and read a lot of books, blogs etc. (I've read some of the one's you mentioned, and I'd recommend Sorita D'Esté's books... so comprehensive) but my process with Her has been slow... Her name means "She who helps from afar" and I do find Her a little distant. So far She has only come through when She has really needed to slap me upside the head with a message! I haven't dedicated myself to Her yet, but I know I WILL when the time is right. At the moment I'm working on building an altar for Her and looking for the perfect statue. Your altar is absolutely amazing! It's always a treat to see different Hekate altars. I would never dream of judging someone's altar to Her as "wrong", what bullshit. I’m really grateful for this video, thank you. I had been working very closely with The Morrigan then ill health got in the way just before I dedicated to Her. It’s been a year since I’ve completed Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) therapy & I feel able to start shadow work again without the aid of a therapist. I just assumed The Morrigan would step forward again….I’ve always continued with Her altar & various other stuff, our relationship was never completely broken. But to my real surprise Hecate has “slapped me up the side of the head” instead! I have no idea where to start so you’ve really helped me. I’ve just ordered some books based on your recommendations. I have very strong ancestor links to Ireland/Eire so I have never considered working with deity outside of that pantheon. I suppose as a very long term Witch, now in my Crone years, Hecate does “fit” but I still feel shocked by the very sudden appearance of Her in my life

My relationship with Hekate started out with the beast version of Hekate Triformus where the three heads were a serpent in the middle hound and lion on both sides… when I dedicated to her she became the imagery of the statue I have…
