@@struhol1636 Thanks! :) I know the original but that particular version is an absolute mystery! The vocalist sounds familiar too (sounds a little like Mariana P) but can't still no luck. Cool version though

Question from somebody who doesn't know anything - In so many of these videos, music will be playing on one record, but on the other table the person is using their finger to rotate the album counter clockwise, either for a few rotations or just a quarter rotation repeatedly... What's going on there?

I think they are just looking for the place where the beat match, so the switch can be seemless. While they move they hear the record on the headphones.

I feel this group all works together and separately, they're all "mixing" At times it's super tough to figure out what they're actually doing!

They're looking for and/or holding the 1, cueing up the first beat/start of the tune they're mixing in next (this is sometimes on other beats than the 1 but usually that way)

Great comment but what about something we call "archive"? This set has been recorded on july 20, 2018... Everything is written in description. Our studio/bar is closed since march 15 like every public place in France.

i tuned to watch a dj work his art but all I can hear is a cd playing tracks, no mixing, what a waste of great music, a woman who can ragga, a trumpeter...but the guy in the hat and heckle n jeckle t-shirt...boring
