It looks like that becaus of the difference in speed from when he entered the gravel. But he was still going pretty fast when he went down. I dont think he could havve save that. Still, he managed to slow down a lot before falling, so, props to him.

Happened to me the other week. My bike caught fire on the highway In the middle of no-where. Had to just sit there and let it burn until fire trucks showed up. Bike was a pile of ashes by the end

OMGitsSquidy Awful story. Insurance should cover it ? Sports cars often have a fire extinguisher and battery cut off. There is no way I would be strolling around calmly... I would be looking for water fast.

The motorbike was still being ridden under power for about 50% of the time that the vehicle that the rider hit had his brake lights on. A bit of a lead that the rider was not paying any attention to what was in front of him. The collision was nothing to do with cars ahead of the one hit by the motorbike. Amazing excuses for bad riding .

I don't think it's acting, my missus hit me exactly the same way and she was a bag of nerves and an emotional wreck afterwards too. No problem with that, but i do have a problem with her not paying after 6 months. Rider should just go straight to the insurance now.

Colorado 450L He did have to check his mirrors. Also, you can’t really predict when someone is going to panic slam on their brakes, and he was also alternating between the mirror and road. It just so happened he looked at the mirror at the wrong time, causing the accident.

@@twenty_six1728 Yes you cannot predict when someone comes to an emergency stop, but at the same time that is why the highway code tells you to maintain the correct stopping distance. The simple fact here is for this accident to happen he was either not paying attention, not maintaining the correct distance or exceeding the speed limit. If the woman he hit managed to stop without hitting the vehicle in front of her, the fact that he hit her shows she was abiding by safe driving rules and he wasn't. And yes we all get distracted, so all he had to do was admit that rather than making excuses. I have had my fair share in my time riding, and I am sure everyone has. It only takes a few seconds to glance in your mirror or check you speedo at the wrong moment.

They saw their light turned yellow, they were checking to make sure nobody was incoming who would sixty through the newly green light that was being crossed. Its a bit of an advanced, blowing yellows and red technique to buy a little more time into the "pink" stage ^.^

0:46 i saw this before, and for those who dont know what happened, here's the explanation: The bike was at a mechanic for general maintanance and the mechanic left a cloth or something like that in there without knowing. He put the panel and the cloth heated up and got on fire

@@kurrie3280 regardless of whether or not it could have been avoided, it's nobody's place to say whether or not anybody's should or shouldn't keep riding. Just because an avoidable accident wasn't doesn't mean the person was a bad rider, and everybody has to start riding somewhere. It was partially his mistake, but people make mistakes and more often than not they should be forgiven

3:45 crash. There was every indication the car was about to turn, plenty of time to slow down and no need to ditch the bike.

I agree. Accident looked avoidable. And, hard to know how you will react until you’re in it. This is a reminder for me that I am invisible on a motorcycle. And car drivers are unpredictable.

How he blamed that lady is a mystery. Some of these idiots have turned being cut off to someone switching lanes 40 feet ahead. He had time if he knew how to ride. Being cut off is when a car 5 feet or less darts in front of you. I ride so I don't wanna hear no bullshit. You have to be ready for that shit can't just jump on a bike like it's a car and lay back in cruise come mode

Looks like a damp lot. Asphalt can be very slick when it's damp. It can actually get better if a hard rain washes the oily residue away vs when it just starts to get wet. Looks like he was turning and probably hit the front brake at the same time on slick surface.
