Hedgehogs do not bark, for those wondering. I have two dogs and one of them barked. Draco was merely reacting to it because it startled him.

I tried to walk my Hedgehog (I brought a carrier just in case) and people stared at me so I looked down at her and I said “Boo (my hedgehogs name) you wanna go home? People are walking their dogs while I’m over here looking like I’m walking a pine cone.” 😂

To anyone with Hedgehogs seriously please remember to do morning, and nighttime check-ins like she does. I do them as well, but one night I fell asleep early and didn't end up checking on my hedgehog sense I passed out. The next morning his foot was black and swollen looking like it was about to fall off. We still don't know how it happened but he is a digger. Most likely he ripped apart his bedding because it was ripped up, and a string wrapped around his foot. He was so close to death, but we got him the proper care and he's still kicking around. Just always please remember to ch check-ins on them. I feel if I didn't fall asleep I could've prevented that from happening.

Nah hedgehogs put some strong scented things in their mouth and foam it up and then put it on their backs the theory is that they do it to camouflage their scent to predators

Thank you so much for posting all of these hedgehog videos. My first hedgehog passed away at six years old earlier this year, and I'm picking up my second one next month. I bought him when he was one so I had him for five years. There were a lot of things I was not aware of with my first hedgehog, you're really helping me prepare for my second one! I'll be super ready this time.

I remember watching this video about 5 years ago over and over again taking mental notes on what to do when I get a hedgehog. I got an African Pygmy Hedgehog 1 year later and i loved her so much but sadly she passed away a few days ago due to cancer. She was turning 5 this year. I decided to come back and watch this video for comfort in a way. She was one of my favourite pets that I've ever had and i think i gave her the best life possible thanks to this video and a few others. Thank you Tori for posting this. I know you haven't posted in years but i thought i should come write this anyways :)

Props to you for taking such great care of your hedgehog. I know of a lot of people that simply impulse buy hedgies because they are 'cute'. Sure, hedgehogs are cute, but they are living beings. Many people neglect to clean their cages or especially their wheel, and I always do my best to care for my hedgehog Nugget. Great job with what you are doing.

I’m waiting for my hedgehog to be ready to get from my breaker! I’ve been doing research for over 2 months and picked my baby out about 3 weeks ago!! @@meimarzano Hi! I’m really looking into hedgehog care and I have a few questions :) 1. How often should I clip its nails? 2. Would it be safe for me and the hedgehog for it to live in my room? I’m a very heavy sleeper but I’m worried about the smell could I get sick from the hedgehogs smell assuming I take good care of the cage? 3. Will there even be a smell if I keep the cage clean? 4. Roughly how often do you clean your cage? 5. What food brand do you recommend? 6. It’s become very clear to me that it’s deadly if hedgehogs cages are too cold because they will try to hibernate, so that brings me to wonder do hedgehogs need to hibernate in the winter or should they never ever hibernate? Recently I rescued a wild hedgehog and after holding it shortly (and releasing it, don't worry haha) I'm really interested in getting a pygmy hog :)) I have owned rodents before but now I think these guys are really cute and might fit my life very well

my hedgehog basically bites everything that's in front of her. I got bit for countless of times and that's pretty annoying as hell. She bit my girlfriend's breasts when she was being put in front of my girlfriend's chest!!! The worst thing is that when my hedgehog bites, she tends to use excessive force and pierce through skin!!!! T_T I've had her for almost a year now!!!!
