I’ve ordered and away to plant 160 hornbeam bare root hedge plants in a staggered double row at the suggested 5 per metre this weekend. Looking forward to see the start of my new wildlife haven.

I'm going to get one planted out the back. We had a bit of a hedge once and dried the washing on it and used it for a cupboard for things that didn't rot easily.

Brilliant video, very informative and clear messages - out of curiosity where did you advertise for volunteers? I'm not local but would like to do similar things near home

Hi, volunteers are existing members of our group and other groups we work with, as well as interested individuals that came to our kick off event about protecting habitats around Watlington (not just hedgerows) or people who heard about it on social media or in local press coverage. Hope that helps!
