People have been praising the actors for their performances. Now, the casting director of the show, Shruti Mahajan spoke to BollywoodLife about how they got in the amazing cast. She spoke about how Sonakshi Sinha and Manisha Koirala became the perfect choice for Heeramandi. She also spoke about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and how she has been working with him in other big projects as well.

10:30 Let's be clear that Shruti did not cast Taha. Sanjay Leela Bhansali casted him. Shruti was about to give him a 3 day role which was equivalent to a Junior artist. So in actual, thanks to SLB!

Besides Malika Jan, Fareedan/ Rehana, waheeda , Alistair Cartwright & nawab wali. No other cast suited their roles. aditi rao could have been replaced and defInately sharmin is not suitable for the role.

Alamzeb ek irritating charecter ha iss charecter ko sahi dang se likha bhi nahi gaya Sharmin ko agar shruti wala character thoda jada space deke diya jata to audiance ko jarur pasand ata. Alamzeb ke liye humdardi hone jaisa koi baat ha e nahi nahi uski acting me nahi uske charecter me. Pura serries mein aisa feel hota ha ke almzeb ko jabardasti alag rakha gaya baki tawaifo se.
