Hello my friends, today's tour is in Heidelberg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. is a city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, situated on the river Neckar in south-west Germany. Today, we will walk through this incredibly beautiful city, we start from the Old Bridge (Alte Brücke) over the Neckar river with the view of the picturesque ensemble of the castle, the Old Town, and the river Neckar surrounded by hills, which inspired the poets and artists of romanticism. Then we enter the old town through the historical gate and walk through its wonderful street and great buildings and churches such as the Church of the Holy Spirit, Haus zum Ritter (House of the Knight), Jesuitenkirche, Schloss Heidelberg and many other great things to see during the virtual tour in Heidelberg. Thank You! Brings a tear to my eye as I was there; well, it's been 13 years ago. I walked up and down der Haupstrasse at least 50 times the 6 weeks I was there. Clearly, I never forgot it. The Altstadt is so scenic. People were friendly and I will cherish my time there the rest of my life. God Bless.

THIS IS HOME FOR ME. MY FATHER WAS STATIONED IN HEIDELBERG FROM 1977-1982. I AM AN ARMY BRAT. I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE ATTENDED HEIDELBERG AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL FROM 1977-1981. MY GRADUATING CLASS OF 1981 WAS THE LAST CLASS TO HAVE HAD BOTH PROM AND GRADUATION IN THE CASTLE. EVERY CLASS FROM 1982-2013 HAD GRADUATION IN THE STADTHALLE. UNFORTUNATELY THE MILITARY DECIDED TO SHUT DOWN THE AMERICAN BASE IN HEIDELBERG IN 2013. HEIDELBERG WAS THE COMMAND CENTER FOR USAEUR.

I was in the Army stationed here in 1991 - 1992. I had a great time. Brings back a lot of memories. I miss the food.

Nice video, as one of the few not intensively carpet bombed cities in Germany, it shows what most German cities could have looked like if WWII never took place. And how much beauty and historical momuments were lost. Luckily Heidelberg is a beautiful exception 😍

In France nearly everybody knows the name Koenigsberg in the " far East", but Heidelberg,... No ! Though it only lies less than 60 miles North of. Strasbourg !
