I was was watching an interview with Maria Franz about this song. The "lyrics" were taken from runes on bracteate coins from the Proto-Norse "Migration Period" of around 400-ish C.E. A lot of the lyrics can't be easily translated, except for "Landawariar" (utilized several times on the song). It is more-or-less translated as "Protector of the Land".

As a Canadian, did you notice the smaller Moose (European)? It wasn't a buffalo, but a Musk Ox (only found in Norway in Europe).

I read another comment a while back that explained charging the musk ox well. There was enough symbolism throughout the video, particularly during the pagan dancing scenes and the runes their arm movements represent, to say that Anoana's (the heroine) spirit totem was the musk ox, often perceived in ancient pagan Germanic or Nordic culture as a symbol of strength. In her childhood, we see Anoana gently using her power for good, like when she revived that bird. She hadn't fully embraced her abilities and responsibility yet, though, as a protector of the land. This is shown by how she caresses and cuddles with the musk ox as a child. Her unreadiness is also shown by how the moose doesn't acknowledge her in the forest as a child. However, as an adult, she feels a much greater responsibility as the land's protector. We see her watching over it from the top of a cliff mid-video. Her stare-down with the ox represents her finally facing the totality of her power, and accepting that embracing her power, while difficult and possibly deadly, is something she must do in order to fulfill her calling as protector of the land. Her charging of the musk ox is a metaphor for uniting with and accepting the fullness of her abilities and her responsibility. The fact that the musk ox accepts the challenge and returns the charge shows that she is now ready for this. When she collides with the ox, she will likely not be killed, but will truly come into her complete power. Only then can she truly have the strength to protect the land. I won't call it a fantasy video, because this is based on an actual pagan mythos, but the video is rife with symbolism and metaphors. It's a wonderful work of art. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Travis fimmel who played ragnar in vikings is a lovely fella and his eyes are crazy to look at, they're like magnets, they catch your attention right away, katheryn winnick who played lagertha, she seemed a bit off, don't really know what to say about her, she seemed hard to deal with when it came to the film crew on vikings, that's just the impression I got from her, by observing things
