I love this and I identify with this very much. Although I don't understand this language . It gives me strength. I listen to it every day, like a prayer ❤

My intuition tells me it is like a prayer to the elfes and their king to protect the nature and the people from war, hunger and other bad things, every year that comes.

so difficult to collect my thoughts....I am amazed, frightened, hopeful, feeling mortal, wanting to pray to some deity........I believe these are the emotions Maria and the band hope to elicit from the audience.........I can imagine these are EXACTLY the sounds made by pre-Christian Norse shaman, priests and warriors......I believe the language is an imagined proto-Germanic dialect.........they make their costumes and instruments

Does anyone know which language this is? I am learning all Nordic / Germanic languages, but I cannot recognize this language tho... It definitely isn’t Old Norse!

I actually just found another comment a few seconds ago saying that it is Proto Norse - at least I was sure it had to be a Proto type of language, but I didn’t know exactly which one because I haven’t seen Proto Norse before or even Proto Germanic, but I’ve seem Proto European tho, so I guess I’m getting real good at recognizing the patterns in Proto languages and especially in the languages that I’ve studied so far, and I could tell that most words were still looking Germanic!

@@FrozenMermaid666 you have a good linguistic ear......since the members of Heilung are from different countries, it makes sense there may be multiple influences in the language.......
