The necklace you mentioned was the medallion the little girl found in the woods. A lot of ancient pagans believed that children born under an eclipse had a special connection with nature - when the girl brought a dead bird back to life. The end where she charged the animal was symbolic of her merging with her "spirit animal" for lack of a better description.

If you're curious about the theme of the song... Birthing a child during an eclipse is a special event in Old Norse culture - the child is thought to have a special relationship with animals, assuming their form and giving life to the dead (like the dead bird in the video). Drumming is a warning to two Nordic wolves that would chase the Sun and moon during the event. If the wolf, Skoll, caught the Sun or if the wolf, Mani, caught the moon during solar or lunar eclipses, it was thought to be a sign that Ragnarok approached (The End Times in a nutshell). The drums served as a means to scare the wolves off and away from ever catching the Sun or moon. The language is proto-Nordic - it's real Old Norse as written in the Poetic Edda and various artifacts found during that era with such writing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetic_Edda

There is no english translation of the lyrics because no one knows what it says -including Heilung. The lyrics is put together from prayers/spells written in runic script on gold medallions (bracteates) from the pre-christian era, around 400-600 AD, found all over northern europe and scandinavia. The runic script is in proto-norse and proto-germanic, is very hard to read and Heilung put the lyrics together specifically from texts that has not been deciphered yet. The only words in the whole lyrics they can decipher is the word "earth warrior".

The fun thing about Heilung is that they actually know the translations to very few of their songs. A lot of the languages they sing in are “dead” languages. For this song they only know the meaning for one word in the entire song. It just adds to the mysterious energy that surrounds Heilung and everything they do.

Heilung is an experimental folk music band consisting of members from Denmark, Norway and Germany. Their music is based on texts and runic inscriptions from Germanic peoples from the Iron Age and the Viking Age. Heilung describes their music as "enhanced history from early medieval northern Europe".

There is no translation because nobody knows the meaning - nobody. There's a very short video - about 1m 30s - on Season of Mist's channel where Maria talks about where the lyrics come from. Also - yes, she is the baby! If you look back at the two scenes with the baby, she has very small antler nubs.

Even if you could identify the words and try to arrange them in English, it is very probable that would not be able to come up with a chant that had a passable shamanic effect.

They get their lyrics from ancient texts. This I believe is from a dead Germanic language.

I suspect the reason for the necklace has less to do with meaning and more a choice to link the identification of the baby to the girl and to the woman.
