I've been to Heilung concerts twice, and both times it was a soul booming experience. No drugs, no alcohol, and yet still the music FLOWS through your body like a wave. Thanks for your hard work guys!

When Anoana's music video dropped. I got chills for the first time listening to a song. It has, to this day, become my mantra that I sing and listen to whenever I feel like I need protection.

Saw them live in Denver last November. My god it was amazing, the beat from the skin drums is intense in the best way possible. When Asja played, my body moved on its own to the beat, that is a highlight song for me. Heilung forever!

Every time someone plays the opening comments of this video , somewhere in a cabin in Norway Gaahl’s ears perk up. Meanwhile, Erik Danielson listens to their travel issues and laughs in Watain and animal blood. 😂

Commenting on that last part about pagans not being welcomed in a church. Last week I went to a concert of Sowulo in the Netherlands in the city of Nijmegen in the Stevenskerk (Church). Nijmegen the oldest city of the Netherlands, of Roman origin. If you don't know Sowulo, it's a Dutch pagan band with similarities to Heilung. It was such a strange yet immense experience. When they blew their Horns in a Christian Holy Place first it was as if pagans were re-claiming our place. Because their horns were so intimidating and we sat there with a little over a 100 people, assuming many of which who consider themselves pagan. Yet after there was a sense and feeling if connection. I remember my man and I say to one another "what a time to be alive, being able to perform a pagan show in a Christian church. Who would have imagined that for the last couple of centuries".

I saw them in RedRock Colorodo and it was one of the best experiences Ive had in there concerts, during one of the songs called Krigsgaldar during the English portion the wind started picking up as the energy changed as I believe Odin was being called upon. Truly a magnificent performance.

People like to say vikings were like the most pagan culture to ever exist, when they were actually pretty cool with Christianity and embraced it pretty fast. Also, vikings were just a tiny fraction of the norse population, most people were just that, people. Vikings were pirates and raiders, not the most glamorous job in the world. Not the best fighters either.

I think he has a point with Christians, however, one reason there is Christian influence in pagan culture and because we see this in the poems is because of Christian washing. We see that Christians have taken over the writing and see they insert their own ideals into things. I think it is important to get along with people, as a norse pagan I believe we are to push to be the best version of ourselves everyday, and some days that is different than other, and part of that is accepting others with different beliefs into your life.

Most of the christian concepts of devils, demons, and satan (anything not of "god"), come from the demonization of pagan (largely Vanic and Celtic ) gods and goddesses. Just like a lot of modern "christian" practices are christianized pagan rituals. A lot of times the Germanic peoples would "adopt" the christian way in name only (for various reasons from just adopting, to adopting to appease so they would move on, to adopting to stopping their people from being murdered and tortured). The abrahamic religions have done so much damage to Europe/Europeans (and the world), that they should be rejected just on their history of destroying cultures.
@ColoradoStreaming
@ColoradoStreaming 2 күн бұрын
Yeah I kind of raised my eyebrows on that comment as well. I am not Christian but believe demonic entities are real and have their own realm and limited tribal governments etc. I would never be down with them because they are parasites and seek to screw up peoples lives to feed off them.

@@ChanceDavison-mp2hx Satan is not a god, christians made him up. They mixed him with different gods. The gave him the name satan which comes from Saturn, they gave him the personality of Aires and the image of pan. The also called him Lucifer which is latin for light bringer, many pagans gods were light bringers well before Christianity.

Just a correction: actually, christianity as an "official movement" started to get notorious decades after Jesus was nailed to the cross. The first wave of followers were known across Middle East and Europe as "some weird jews that talk about a mighty _Krystos_ and they use a strange _Ichtys_ (fish) to represent him". That was it. In fact, Jesus was represented first as a sheperd with short hair, shaved and using roman-style clothing (pre Dark Ages standard attire?) and holding a cane. Seems like the "modern" image of Jesus, which is kinda not the real stuff (a very romanticized-caucasian version) started to get popular until late 2nd century. They had no phones, media nor Internet back then, so news traveled pretty slow... including new-founded religions. Lol.

Also I wish they did all there music in the original language (of course) but also in English.

A big heart for Satan? Satan as in the abrahamittic/Christian "bad guy"? ...the only thing Satan has in common with paganism is that the church based their image of him from the pre-christian Gods. F.ex the trident from Poseidon/Triton and the hoves/goat bits from Pan. So any belief in Satan stems from a belief in Christianity (Loved your Loki pendant however !)

i think its the weight of her dreadlocks that is causing alopecia (hair loss) and with the headgear that she wears with the antlers doesn't help. One day she is going to have to shave her head so that the hair can hopefully grow back. I would be so self conscious about that if I was her.

(about the ancient germans who attacked the romans) they were ancient special forces lol. and maybe I'm not kidding. About religion monotheism is implicitly exclusive when you say there is only one God and that's my God you're saying other people are wrong and you're right if you are politheist you simply add other people God or Gods to your pantheon it's not a problem at a certain point in ancient Rome there were people adoring Isis an ancient egyptian goddess the cult of Mithra a germanic God was common amongst the legionaries who served in those regions and so on. Religion wasn't a problem.
