it's the moral choice. laning against a heimer as an immobile melee (top lane) feels like a war crime. completely stonewalls the lane.

@@suspectsn0thing want to know a secret? adcs counter juggernauts top lane, ashe and vayne are nearly untouchable in a 1v1 tanks counter burst mages and assassins mid lane, mages will go oom trying to poke you, and assassins can't kill you burst mages counter adcs bot lane, their spells usually outrange adcs and they have a cc ability to prevent an all-in. doing this big shuffle of your team's players (tank goes mid, mage goes bot, adc goes top) results in all 3 of your lanes having an advantage WITHOUT messing up your draft late game. (and yes, if i was mid and see a heimer top, im instalocking a tank mid.)

44:54 there's a similar concept in fps games about crosshair placement. A lot of average players won't focus on where their crosshair is before a fight, they'll point it down at the ground, or up in the sky, or towards a wall or something. The high level players will always hover their crosshairs around head height, and pointed where enemies are likely to come from. When the fights start, they have to make much smaller adjustments to land headshots than people who are aiming off somewhere else entirely. It sounds super obvious when you think about it after the fact, but it makes a big difference in the moment between a skilled player and a novice to just have your cursor in the right place ahead of time.

They actually are "removing" the ability to smite all summons. To clarify it isn't being removed, but the damage is being reduced to 20, so if anything it will become a detriment to accidentally smite a summon over a champion.

idunno i think u may be underestimating the empower E on heimer, the range y double from normal and the area of stun is triple... u can stun a lot in a tf with that, and ur dmg is still good with 3 turrets on the grownd

Yeah, I've seen a good E empower absolutely demolish a teamfight. It's like a Leona or Naut ult, you can mass-CC an entire team at once if they position badly, and unlike a tank support you can provide your own CC followup with your turrets. Since the charged turret shots pierce enemies, good turret positioning and bad enemy positioning lets you practically half-health an entire team with the bouncy stun.

Last year worlds made heimer support his main role, and he is balanced as a support nowadays, his turrets have less hp and damage than before worlds 2022 so people just bring him botlane as a counterpick to engage melee champs like thresh, or as a cheesepick against tristana aswell

I think items like static shiv, ravenous, titan etc. should deal only 20-30% of their total dmg to player summoned units. They nullify units and the champs that build them shouldn’t win against units champs anw. Most are supposed to by counterpicked by unit champs for their lack of range and/or aoe
