One of the rare videos of the Domenico Montagnana 1739 "Sleeping Beauty" cello being played. Exquisite! Unmatched in its beauty of tone and timbre. Oh that it would rise again from slumber to return to glory in the hands of a rising star!

I'm amazed by Schiff's mastery of the instrument. His bowings are not easy at all to play... too many notes on one bow! The pianist is extraordinary, too. Wow!
