Helen Smallbone, author of "Behind the Lights: The Extraordinary Adventure of a Mum and Her Family," is joined by her sons, Joel and Luke Smallbone of for KING & COUNTRY, as she sits down with Amy for an exclusive interview on the K-LOVE Morning Show. The Smallbones talk about their family's journey, losing everything, and their move to America.
Helen's book is a memoir of the challenges her family, including Rebecca St. James and the Smallbone brothers, faced over the last few decades. That journey shaped her family and forced them to unify into the successful and tight-knit group they are today.
Helen says it's easy to stay behind the lights, but sometimes God calls you into that light, and her purpose and prayer for her book is that people will realize God is faithful, He is good, and that they can trust Him because he will look after all the details.

My tears are shed because I know in walking through my life, I would not still be here if I did not depend daily on the LORD! Awesome story of how WONDERFUL the Lord is. I've seen the hand of God in my own life and I know how it feels to have no other option but to get on your knees and cry out to God! Nothing is impossible with the Lord! When you give the Lord your whole heart and trust him just watch and see what he can do for you!❤

Cannot wait to receive this book. I’ve watched Rebecca since I was 29 and now I’m 58 and am blessed to still be able to listen and watch her as well as K & C and to hear their sweet Rock of a Mother’s testimony. You can see the love in Joel and Luke’s eyes for her and their Mom for the each of them. God Bless them all. Great Interview.

I have watched the What are we waiting for? video multiple times- I Love It - and I can't wait to read Mrs Smallbone's book. I Love For King & Country and listen to them literally every day. But I'm waiting for one of you interviewers to ask them about the experience of recording in the Mojave Desert! The logistics of crew, and equipment, and heat, and water and the whole experience! There's a story there. In one of the pan over shots you can see that there's a tent camp that they must have stayed in. You can see their footprints in the sand and you can see that they recorded at different times of day - Sun coming up, Sun going down. Please have them back and ask them what it was like and have them tell us about recording an album in a desert in the middle of nowhere!
