He said that when he was a kid, he would hide in the closet and play his guitar and try so hard to sound like his "heroes". One day when he was depressed because he could get the sound down, he heard a voice say to him, "Maybe you aren't supposed to sound like them, maybe, you are supposed to sound like you." Helen i am 76 , to many i was worthy ,to many others worthless , for myself i just tried to be a better person like me or not , end result my family those who count in my life say i am their shining starr , the idea is what you are and can be by being yourself . I am not in music but would listen tou you all day in a heartbeat because you touch my inner chords with sound and voice .

Covid has created hardships with a lot of artists. Artists are not suppose to work in complete isolation, but this covid has created an atmosphere of isolation which seems to constrict creative energy. African music went to America and blues and jazz came to be. Blues had a baby and it was called Rock and Roll. Then that grew into all the modern music we have around today. I think your in a beautiful place where you can mend all the music together to make something special. To melt African rhythms into blues and rock and modern music. Music has had Ry Cooder and Paul Simon who have brought African elements into their music. I don't know if we have seen enough of bringing the rich music Africa and mixing it with the music of the New World. It is good to go back to your roots. Then learning a new style, and then putting the two together. It a Gumbo , or a stew mixed with a bowl of rice and fish. Different but delicious every time.

Love is the greatest thing in the world and as long as you have that, you'll always be in good hands.

That song and your comments show a great deal of maturity on your part. When you link that with your vocal and instrumental abilities and your God given beauty, you are indeed a special and unique person. I’ve watch many of your videos and enjoy them all. Please continue to play and sing from your heart and don’t let anyone or anything stop you. If you can, try to find a KZfaq video by Denzel Washington called “Put God First”. It is a powerful speech that I think you will enjoy. I don’t know how you feel about Sade’s music (band is called Sweetback with Stuart Matthewman on guitar), but I think with your voice and guitar abilities, you could definitely do those songs justice. Ive felt the same way, I dont think its unusual for creative people to wrestle with themselves sometimes. And why isn’t someone picking up on One More Time? It’s a classic song, impossible to get the tune out of your head once you hear it. As for your loss of creativity, I used to write songs and what I realized was that the lyrics never came from forcing them. It came while I was sleeping in a relaxed state. At that moment you HAVE to get up and put pen to paper, otherwise, it’s not going to flow. So what I feel you have to do is not stress about it. Just relax. Anyways, I enjoy watching your sessions so please keep them coming. YOU ARE WORTHY!!!
