When I was younger me and some friends decided to ride or bikes from L.A. to Yosemite. Thanks to one guy we started late and ended up sleeping on the side of a farm road half way up (late guy was also cheap). I woke up sick from gas station food in the middle of the night (late guy didn;t want to stop at a restaurant). In the morning I put my helmet on and realized it was full of red ants. We get to the park and the thermostat on my Ninja goes out, so I have to constantly stop to prevent overheating, which pissed everyone else off. That night the same annoying guy wanted to camp illegally in the park. I didn't want to because i didn't want a fine. We argued and split up. Completely fed up and not knowing how I'd get the bike home during the day's heat anyway, I decided to drive back to L.A. Going over the mountains it was so cold, I didn't have gloves and got minor frost bite on my hands. I got home at 3am. That was my awesome trip to Yosemite.

Don't often comment on KZfaq, but I can't resist this time. I lived there! I have friends who have lived inside the park damn near since they were born. Got to work a summer there and live in the park myself. Lived in the area myself 3 1/2 years. It was wonderful, and I often find myself wondering about moving back now that I've struck out on my own.

I had I science teacher in 9th grade tell us about how he climbed the summit 5 times and I never realized how crazy of a climb that is. I probably wouldn't ever have seen it from this perspective if it wasn't for your channel, I love ALL your content and thank you for opening my eyes to the vast world around me that I ever so miss out on. In the great words of Joe Dirt "keep on keepin on" have a good day Jeff.

Beautiful park. Was there in October and used MSFS's weather and lighting system to approximate what the lighting would look like during certain times of the day to plan out where I wanted to photograph. It was pretty spot on.

I live near Yosemite I hike every couple of trails every now and then, surreal feeling seeing it from the sky.

You should totally do the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, takeoff from Jackson Hole would be awesome

Simply stunning scenery, I never got to Yosemite when I was in the states but wish I had now! Jeff my man your transition from and to the hover is much smoother than the first video. Learning a new helicopter is not a simple thing, well done mate. I've done a week long backpacking trip in Yosemite! It's honestly so amazing to hike around the area. Truly better than just driving in. I recommend it!

I love this video man!! Yosemite is only 30 mins from my home. Go there every season. Nothing beats camping in the boonies, on top of a rock, in the Winter with snow + the mist coming from the valley floor. Such a magical, kickass place!

As you pointed out, VFXSimmer did an excellent job enhancing the YV scenery. You landed in Ahwahnee Meadow. As you left the meadow, the majestic Ahwahnee Hotel was on your left. It is brilliantly modeled. So much to see! Thank you.

Been to Yosemite and Sequoia national park. Grew up in the San Joaquin valley in Lathrop. Awesome video, Jeff keep it up!

My dad was telling me about working a radio tower on top of Berthoud Pass in Colorado, about 12,500 ft. altitude. They took a helicopter to the site. To get back down, they had to edge the copter off the side and essentially let gravity do its thing until the air was thick enough to create lift. It sounded terrifying!

I’m getting this soon. I like flying. I’ll be playing on the hardest setting for sure. It could really come in handy knowing how to fly.

Went to Yosemite with a few friends back in 2018. We were road tripping from Seattle to LA and visiting all the major parks along the way. On our way out of the Yosemite valley, we may or may not have been smoking some of the devil's lettuce😁. Got pulled over by CHP with smoke pouring from the SUV like a chimney. The cop was super chill, never mentioned the weed smell at all and gave us a verbal warning for speed. Awesome stuff👍

Seen the valley in 2016 drove all the way from Missouri and the road that led to Yosemite felt like it took forever every corner we hit I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see the valley

Yosemite is a bucket list item for sure! Jeff you should do a basic helicopter flight tutorial. I can fly planes in sims, but never tried helicopters. Like what’s the collective? Forward and aft on the stick? Anti-torque the rudders? I’m sure there are plenty of KZfaq videos, but you would the video enjoyable and easy to learn.

I went to Helicopter flight school in Provo UT. Got my flight time through Universal Helicopter (UHI) and was getting my Aviation Degree through Utah Valley (UVU). I didn't complete do to lack of finances, but got 56 flight hrs in a R22. This simulator brought me right back pilot seat, thanks!

New update for the H135 came out today! Fadec and Engine start switches are now working, so you don't have to turn it on from the screen. Also I think autopilot has been implemented too! Jeff, I would love to fly with you in the sim!

I recognized the livery on the helicopter immediately as Blackcomb Helicopters operates here in Whistler. (we don't refer to southern British Columbia as the "Pacific Northwest" though...) I see the real thing regularly fly overhead.

An amazing future feature could be that you have a friend join you on the flight and you could chat while flying

I guess they didnt model it correctly but you flew right by Yosemite Falls on your left, a little distance after El Capitan. I've been up there so many times but I have to say the best time is in the winter when its not as crowded and the snow looks so amazing. Mono Lake is actually in high desert, so that was not snow you were looking at. Mono lake is actually a saline lake, so no fish bit billions of brine shrimp and the birds that feed on them. That place is very peaceful.

Yosemite is amazing, while the are a lot of people (pre covid) some places are really cool to visit, especially the big waterfall where you gotta hike too.

I went to Yosemite over the summer with my family. really good time. we were hiking on a trail and from a tree 5 feet in front of me a bear walked out from behind it and stared into my eyes. I had a panic attack lol. but no it was a really good time.

Sacramento, in 2018 we went from Howe ave to Mariposa, slept there, then on 140 to Yosemite just to do the 2 mile trail where you can actually drive up to... then in July 2019 before i bought RDR2 on pc we went from same apartment on Howe on hwy 50 to Tahoe, stopped in random general store in Strawberry where i bought shirt with bears and strawberries and continue on to LT, some fun times

some guy free climbed it a few years back without ropes or anything crazy dude, but the most laid back guy irl lol
