Obviously, only a dragon needs a slayer. Only a component strong enough and traumized Liquid fans so much needs to be humillated with a dedicated video well edited and uploaded to youtube to comfort the hurt hearts. I don't know but in China we call the sensitive ones "crystal heart"s. I think it is a proper expression that fits well for who came out with this title. I say GG liquid, that's all.

To all the butthurt people: Asia has been churning out top dota teams since the start of the competitive scene and most of them are from China. Being able to beat even one of them, even for South east asians, is considered a huge accomplishment since they are so disciplined and strict with their gameplay it's actually insane. DTS was the first team that gave Ehome in their prime a humiliating defeat, restricting the space ehome needed to play their style of dota. In 2011, when dota 2 came out, it was navi, the DTS lineup with a few changes, that gave ehome a tough time trying to get into their rhythm. in 2012, iG won because navi stagnated in their style, repeating similar strategies constantly while iG tried new ideas. in 2013, Alliance were playing mind games all along with the entire tournament, using cheese strats that no one thought would work in a high level game. Even DK fell prey to them until they decided with Burning AM, the best AM in the world period. 2014 was a very bad year for western teams mostly because they couldn't seem to find the synergy within themselves. 2015 was EG's year and they played well but only wiped LGD in the lower bracket final, the rest of their wins weren't clean 2-0 or 3-0. 2016 EG had cracked the code to Chinese dota, especially with the more renowned teams and older players. Wings gaming was the outlier as they consisted of players who have never been heard of until that year and the replays they had available to study was limited. That's the only reason why WIngs won Ti6. Ti7 was the year of Liquid, with Kuroky, one of the first generation dota players leading a team of pub stars with great synergy amongst each other. Again, not enough replays to study, not enough materials for the chinese teams to understand how Liquid plays. The other thing was, Kuroky led a team of innovative players back with gosugamers, with mouz sports, with the original liquid lineup. Now he has players with the mechanical understanding, discipline and patience to make the plays count to complement his experience as an experienced dota 2 professional. Liquid deserve to be called the China slayers because they beat some of the top chinese dota teams over the past year very convincingly, almost too convincingly. As of right now, Team Liquid is the only team with the potential to win a second Ti assuming they go in with the same mindset they did as last year and play their games in a slightly different manner.
