Helicopter Pilot Day in the Life | Maverick Helicopters

2 жыл бұрынHave you ever wondered what a typical workday looks like for a sightseeing helicopter pilot at Maverick Helicopters? In this video, you will get a glimpse at the day in the life of a pilot as we follow Pilot Jake around for two sets of Wind Dancer tours.
Pilots at Maverick typically start their day by checking the maintenance record for the helicopter they are assigned to fly and performing their thorough preflight procedures. Once preflight preparation is complete, and before boarding, the pilot will escort their guests to the aircraft and conduct a safety briefing.
Throughout our Grand Canyon helicopter tours, the pilot will narrate the trip and answer any guests' questions. The pilot serves snacks and champagne, plus takes photos of and with the guests at the canyon. Upon returning to the Las Vegas terminal, pilots are responsible for sanitizing and preparing the aircraft for their next tour and set of passengers.

Maverick Helicopters - Thank you for posting this. We cover mods/cc in ‘The Sims 4’ and did an episode featuring a helicopter mod. We wanted to include interesting related videos in a pinned comment, so viewers can check out different ways helicopters are in use - in air/sea rescue, air ambulances, charter flights/tours, etc. One of the characters in the episode pilots helicopter tours around the city, so this video came in very handy. Not only for related viewing, but just research in general. Engaging and informative.

Hi Guys: I’m planning on visiting Vegas this week. I want to bring my Camera gear to the helicopter during daytime. I have a canon R5 and a motorized small DJI gimbal to stabilize the footage. (Look up DJI RS2 so you can see what a gimbal is in case you are not familiar with it ) . Not sure if that would be possible . I want to fly during daylight hours so it’s less crowded.

You guys ever need a part-time pilot to come in at sunset and do the night rides over The Strip, drop me a line. I may only have 800 hours, but 370 of it is at night flying over San Francisco.

Thanks for letting us know! We do require a 1000-hour flight minimum, so once you reach that, we would suggest applying on our website! Our application for touring pilots tends to stay open throughout the year, and we are accepting applications. 😁

Great video Sir, quick question- im currently in the military stationed in germany. i plan on using my GI Bill to be come a helicopter pilot next year at SUU. i have 12 months remaining to my contract. at 6 months remaining, i will qualify to internship somewhere prior to getting out. Is interning possible at your vegas location?

Class 2 FAA medical and a CPL (H). Not sure if Maverick requires an instrument rating now or not. I worked at Maverick from 2006 -2009 and loved it.

Well, I and my husband were planning to use helicopter ride for grand canyon and we went at your office 6075 S Las Vegas Blvd between 18 to 21 April 2022. There was an aged man was sitting there, he didn't greet us and was not welcoming at all, no smile and just plain blank face and not helpful. I and my husband got very upset because you are charging in 1000s and giving service which was not worth a penny. In short, we took a tour by a bus which was amazing and we saved lots of money. Please have some young and a friendly person in your office.
