852MH is now part of the Long Beach California Maverick fleet. She visits Catalina Island several times each day and is a pleasure to flly.

Did this driving from cali hoover dam GC anc LV also got to see the Roy rogers museum on route , i was 10 yrs this was 1980 coming from london uk

That 737 that you passed wouldn't be your friend Janet's flight. Wrong side of the airport and notice no airline name on the tail. Those 737's with the red stripe down the window line are flying workers up to Area 51 where they do the super secret stuff.

Those 737s with the red stripe & no other markings are, as you correctly say, flying workers to Area 51 or Tonapah or one of several other classified locations. However, they ARE known as 'Janet' flights so, YES, that is a 'Janet' aircraft! Nothing to do with the photographer's friend!

Thanks Mike. I have google mapped those areas extensively, why, because when you're retired, that's what we do over morning coffee. As a Canadian I don't know to much about those classified areas but I learned something new today. So today is a good day. Thanks agin Mike.@@mikeharbour6353

Great video! Question…I booked a Maverick tour in December and was wondering how you got the pilot audio? Did they let you plug in?

I used a small mic inserted into my headset (Just put it on my ear under the headset cup) and then plugged it into my GOPRO. You have to have the adapter for audio input on the GoPro (I have the Hero 9).

beautiful video of a similar flight I took there in a small plane. I had to switch off the sound as I couldn’t stand the music which was mismatched.

Sorry to hear that I'm still getting the hang of the editing process. The pilot was piping thru music but most is copyrighted and blocked by KZfaq so I tried to add something other than the noise from the Helo.

Great video, I love how you just ran the camera, no edits, the whole flight. Silly question about the tour company if you know - Why wouldn't they just drop you off in their canyon landing area, leave you there while they made a gas run and came back and picked you up? Let you spend more time on the ground rather than run to a gas station? And I would think for them, sending an empty copter on a gas run would save them even more fuel not carrying a load of passengers.
