Can Helix® Micro Rebar™ reinforcement be used to replace rebars and pre-stressed cables in the construction of steel-reinforced concrete hyperbaric domes ranging from 100 feet in diameter to 500 feet in diameter with a thickness ranging from 1.2 to 2 inches thick ? Or in the form of a large rectangular shaped warehouse size hyperbaric building with outer walls and roofs ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches thick? And capable of withstanding internal atmospheric pressures ranging from 50 atmospheres per square inch to 100 atmospheres per square inch?

Use hybrid high-tensile steel rebar and double-twisted high-tensile steel fiber reinforced concrete. The steel rebars will be of the same thickness and density placement as if they are going to be used in a conventional manner while steel fiber reinforced concrete will be poured all around them. Double-shell truss monolithic reinforcement steel rebar designs using hooked ends and bolted mechanical clamps are required for both military and civilian requirements throughout the Russian Federation and in the United States for all new structures since 1990.

Use conductive concrete already commercially available edgy.app/new-conductive-concrete-emp . In the past my country uses calcined petroleum coke mixed with 30% cement-sand binders and then we add 480 pounds of double-twisted stainless steel fibers for every cubic yard or cubic meter of the calcined petroleum coke mixed with 30% cement-sand binders.

Is this good for footers? Is it a supplement or a replacement for rebar? Thanks

T Rex yes, it is easily used in footings to replace rebar. We would be happy to take a look at a project and provide a design to replace rebar.

@@TheHelixSteel Thanks. I will contact you at some point in time. I am building a rammed earth home and the footings need to be good. An 8 foot high rammed earth wall weighs about 2 ton per linear foot (the wall is 24 inches thick). I want something that can last a very long time. I was also considering basalt fiber. I also need to add rebar to the rammed earth walls and once the forms are removed, the finish is the raw rammed earth. rammed earth is gravel, sand, cement, water, 10% clay colorant, and rebar. The mix is very dry, and is rammed into place within a form. I want to make sure that what ever I use, it will withstand the test of time and is cost effective.

@@trex283 Give us a call at 734-322-2114 ext 3 or email at sales@helixsteel.com. I know that our micro-rebar performs exceptionally in footings in heavy industrial applications. As for the walls, we'd really want to take a look at the mix and specs to see if we can help with reinforcement in the walls, but the footings are a great application.

Can holes be percussion drilled into concrete with this reinforcement?

..I would image yes you could. There aren't any Obstacles in the Concrete to interfere with your drilling, like rebar or other structural material or elements.

That's a great question, Each one-inch (25-mm) twisted steel reinforcement is coated and individually sealed to withstand elements. Proper concrete finishing techniques will ensure that the steel is forced below the surface. Helix does not provide additional entry points for moisture.
