Hope you guys enjoy this one. It's the first proper guide I've done so let me know what you guys think of it. Hopefully I haven't missed too many key points but if I have, please let me know in the comments. Cheers.

Great job. I suspect you mispoke, garrisons have to be 200 meters apart, not 100 m. It also helps to ping the nearest garrisons (to check the distance), so you aren't prevented from building. Garrisons not only act as extra spawn points, allowing for flanking, better defensive/offensive play, but also act as radars to warn your team about approaching enemies. In comp games I often see a garrison placed in every grid ("square") around the defensive objectives. If your team is not hitting the max garrison limit (8 garrisons per team), you have reasons to be concerned.

@@definitelynotadam Woops, yeah meant 200m. Yeah pinging is v useful for garrison placement. Good higher level info. I didn't know that about placing in every grid around the defensive objectives.

Your point about OPs is good, but the worst OP is one that doesn’t get built, bad placements are often what you’ve got because of the nature of the engagement, once you’ve got yourself in a better position you can shift the OP. Inexperienced officers often are hesitant slap the OP down because it’s open , or possibly too aggressive, but get your team into battle and sort it out later when you can.

Yeah good point. Good to emphasise the importance of trying to always have an OP up for your squad. And yeah you don't want to be overthinking it do you. An OP not in an ideal location is better than you going down without having put an OP up at all.
