I met George Takei once. I wish I had thought to ask him what it was like to work with Sessue Hayakawa. Fortunately, since both of us are still alive, I may get another chance if he's at another convention in my area.

My moms aunt was married to a man whos sister was married to guy gabaldon and my mother says she was lucky enough to live with him in mexico with her aunt and his wife she says he owned a hotel sum cargo planes. I yet to read his book suicide island i have it in my hands at this moment.

Father took me to see this when I was 11 when 17 or older unless with adult rating existed. Good story and still violent movie even today. George Takei played one of his brothers in movie. Both were in Star Trek pilot.

I saw this movie on opening day, Nov. 30th,1960, at age 14 & felt that this would be a new movie War "classic"! To some extent, it was, but the non battle scenes seemed 'overacted'! Years later, I learned that Guy Gabaldon was of Mexican hertitage & only 5'4" tall & his part should have been played by an Hispanic! Pres. Clinton refused to award him "The Medal of Honor", before Gabaldon died, but another Pres. should reconsider it!

My dad, first day lander on Tarawa, 2nd Marines Red Beach 2.....took me to see this as a kid, in an open air theater in Abadan Iran.....he wanted to explain the Marines and war against the Japanese.....

I was just looking up Pier Angeli back in February 12 and found out Vic Damone was married to her and died the day before on February 11 2018. He is one of the stars in this movie. He was married 5 times and also to Diahann Carroll from 1987-1996. Pier Angeli died of overdose barbiturate in 1971.

Обратил внимание на несколько неожиданное название "Из ада в вечность", конечно, назвать "Из ада в рай (в небо, на небеса...)" это слишком банально. Но и такое название мы бы не выбрали?

Guy Louis Gabaldon mexican american that captured 1500 Japanese and this movie is based on him. They need to remake this movie and use a real mexican american actor and not a white boy.
