The man was driving his Hellcat when a man approached his Hellcat with a weapon drawn and began firing and the driver was hit and yanked out of the car. These aren’t “Grey Man” vehicles. One’s situational awareness really needs to be Condition-1 while driving, leaving, returning to a Hemi MOPAR. What would I do?… Depends on the situation. If while walking back to my car, several baddies with guns just *APPEAR* and draw-down on me (and I’m alone) - then yeah, they’re getting the keys. But to give up while in one’s running vehicle, IN GEAR? Just because some knucklehead’s waving a pistol?!?! Nope. Hitting a moving vehicle with a pistol, while standing, blood and adrenaline pumping is HARD AF! It’s nothing like Hollywood makes it out to be. Handguns are a 10ft tool. Almost all (successful) handgun engagements occur inside 10ft; with the overwhelming majority at roughly arms length. Two seconds after hitting the skinny pedal, a Hemi-powered anything is 60ft+ away and opening FAST. Even if a baddie actually shoots at a fleeing vehicle; actually hitting it would be pure luck. Punching the driver either center-mass or in the bean, is damn near lottery ticket odds.

That's why anytime I'm at an intersection stopped I make sure I leave space from the car in front of me so in case I have to hit the gas and go around them and I only have my windows cracked and I don't open the sunroof all the way. And if I'm in a parking lot or at a drive-thru I have my Heat on my lap. That's the good thing about living in a stand your ground state right off the bat if I see somebody running up with your face cover aggressively to me and my car depending on where you are determines if I run you over or blast

I just picked up my 2023 Last Call Hellcat Friday!😮😢😢😢 Now this comes out? My 2017 was stolen in June FROM WORK. This new one has ever security addition possible, and won't be my daily driver. Even with my 2017 Hellcat I seldom took it out at night, and would never go to certain areas of town. As an old man, i do my Hellcat driving in the morning when the thugs and criminals sleep. I have plenty of firearms but totally going to get my conceal carry. I pray in the next year or so the hype dies down on these cars so we can be a little more safe 🙏🙏🙏

7:30 true I was doing lyft in my RT. Gotta replace the tires brakes and brake rotors soon and that’s gonna be expensive. Then have to fill up on gas every single day…was seriously considering trading it in for some sort of hybrid after I get rid of negative equity. I like it but getting so expensive to own w insurance also 😞 If you got an RT the insurance companies don’t care they’ll charge you as if you have a hellcat. Some months later I upgraded to ‘17 scat and put all upgrades I was wantin but was gettin pulled over for shii like my exhaust bein too loud and stoppin at gas stations niggas just be staring and shii it caused too much attention which already don’t fit my personality. I just got a SXT plus and I absolutely love it, but even in just a 3.6 I worry about getting targeted by cops or getting the stick up from somebody thinking my car is a v8 since it's got premium wheels on it and doesn't look like a six cylinder. I'm thinking about getting some of the security stuff you recommend for it. It's been nerve racking parking the thing too because I want to park it away from everybody, but also not in a secluded area where I can get run up on or it's so secluded that it's an opportune spot for a break in or a strip.

What year? I have the 3.6 awd , mines sticks out like a sore thumb , no issues yet, but I stay alert . Just park by other nice cars, honestly, and if you have a garage, park it in there. Not gonna lie I just seen my inlaws' cars get looked into over the weekend, and they live in the burbs. They showed me the footage of it. They have an old 2005 malibu, a v6 Durango and a 17 silverado, so its not even about the car now at this point in society, nobody cares what car it is they're just looking for valuables or something easy to get into. So just keep ya head up, stay positive, don't think about that negative stuff, live and don't let fear control your actions, I mean yes be smart but still drive your whip have fun.

Thieves are willing to kill to get your car, due to the fact that once they deliver the car, it’s guaranteed big money, and the car is most likely in a shipping container headed out of the country. Also, there’s no incentive for law enforcement to find your car, dead or not, and don’t care, as they work in averages, and there’s no money for the system finding stolen property, only traffic tickets and property seized makes money for the system. Basically, you’re on your own, and it’s sad this is the society we live in. No wonder gun sales have skyrocketed, it’s a matter of survival now.

definitely more to it than just a "carjacking". 12:30am in a predominantly black city/town with a hellcat. Yes, anything can happen but let's make it make sense. Why is the driver not driving off? why would he open the door to the thief. Did he let the thief in his car? Like there is a lot of questions for sure.

Guy in car may have pulled a gun, and was too slow.....then gun and car stolen...no information on stolen gun, no shell casings because too slow, maybe ghost gun or stolen, etc. Best solution to not having your car stolen, buy manual transmission.

Owner was compliant and still lost his life. Tragic and beyond sad. I agree you can't drive these cars just anywhere at any time. Fading into the background is impossible. I suggest head on a swivel always and a Kwick Strike in your car. It's on my shopping list.
