Apologies for the mic quality on this one, recorded the whole thing with my mic slightly too far away!
Been a while since my last solo Bot run - with the patrol spawnrates bugged so that even solo games scale as if you had a full team, a lot of players have complained about how much harder solo is now. If you take a stealthy hit-and-run approach though, the difference isn't particularly noticeable, and I managed to bash this one out first time for a surprisingly smooth run. Enjoy!

Build:
The AMR handles everything from basic troopers to Hulks and Factory Striders. That means I can bring the Eruptor purely for Fabricator vent shots, as well as the odd trooper squad kill, though its lost its effectiveness vs Scout Striders since shrapnel was removed. The Senator is my choice for more quiet kills, with a much lower sound profile than the AMR. Stun nades make those Hulk kills easier and can save you in a pinch.
For tanks and turrets, I'm bringing the 110mm Rocket Pods - particularly useful since leading targets can be tricky with the increased call-in time modifier. 500kg and Orbital Precision Strike provide some AoE give me options for destroying Factory Striders, as well as Fabricators when the vent shot isn't on, and hardened structures like Research Stations and Detector Towers.
The Trailblazer Scout armour keeps me moving fast and quiet, and this time I'm taking the Vitality Booster for that extra survivability.

About your future content; I love both coop and solo videos. I enjoy both your informative commentary and you and your friends shooting both shit and "the shit" so to speak, although I do prefer bots to bugs. I'm not heavily preferential though

Returning viewer because you are one of the few streamers that doesnt get caught up on the few shortcomings of this fun game. Very tiring of the constant drama of other channels. Your co-op runs are fun. Solo is pretty good too.

agreed that solo stealth automatons doesn't feel so different generally, but i do notice it most when it's an objective that requires you to stay in one place for a while, like radar stations or evacuating citizens. great gameplay as always, hope you're finding the time to rest and congrats :)

Stealth is so good for solo. This is pretty much what I use, I also like to take the jetpack and the DCS. Great gameplay, you're pretty good!

Been here since you had fewer than 2k subs. One of your solo runs was the first I saw and I was just amazed that anyone could run maps solo - never mind doing it at level 9. I definitely enjoy your coop play as well. You and your team always seem to be having fun as you kill bugs or crush the clankers. So, solo or coop, you are a true asset to Super Earth. When it comes to the patrol spawn rate in solo, I definitely noticed the big spike compared to before, even against bots. Though, I'm not as fully committed to stealth as you are, it might help to do that more if I were to do a solo helldive of my own. Orbital Precision Strike's definitely something I should consider using more. It already goes well with the stun grenades and anti-horde weapons I like to run, plus it doesn't get locked by the AA Guns if I ever need to push through them.

Yeah, this one was unusually quiet. I didn't check out the centre of the map but I suspect there'd be quite the army of patrols there. Yeah OPS is great. Think I might start dropping the 500kg and use the OPS for detector towers etc. instead

I don't have an issue with the increased patrol rate but I think what makes it hard for a lot of players is that they feel compelled to try and fight every enemy they see causing bot drop/bug breaches every time they are off cool down. You got lucky because lately it's been mostly devastators and hulks spawning like crazy

Definitely feel it more when going loud, a new patrol walks in just as you're finishing up a fight. This run was strangely quiet for whatever reason

The only reason I enjoy solo over co-op is because I see 100% of what goes on in the game along with constant commentary With coop we hear a lot less of what people are doing, why they’re doing it, loadouts, why they planned those loadouts, etc. However, coop is still cool because it’s dope to see how efficiently you guys clear the map. Maybe a duo run would be neat change. Gets kind of the best of both worlds

Yeah, that's fair - I should start showing the team loadouts before we jump in for coop missions, that will already say a lot about what roles we're taking. Duo's been something I've been meaning to do for some time, we just gotta coordinate!

@newspiked7385 the only other time I've encountered similar enemy behavior was during a "dense fog" planet mission. The bots couldn't see me, similar effect as if in a blizzard, but it was just fog. Only time it's felt like a true stealth run, and I've played on various dense fog planets before

Solo runs I watch the most but I like the Co-op runs if there is some sort of specific interesting team strategy happening. More commentary to explain the co-op strategy might help. It isn't obvious who is doing what sometimes.

Yeah - a lot of the time we'll do callouts, but often we're just so used to playing with each other, we already know who's prioritising what targets. Maybe showing the loadout screen would help people see how we pick our gear, we're usually coordinating so we have a balance of trash clear and anti-tank.

I definitely agree with you that solo play is a lot of the reason people complain about weapons. A lot of people want every weapon to be viable against basically everything. Which is why I think a lot of people ran the Quasar almost exclusively (and the railgun before that) until its cooldown was increased. Another reason I think is that this game makes you target different body parts with different armor values and health bars, and that's difficult for a lot of people; especially when the situation gets stressful. So, people tend towards weapons that are forgiving in that area, like the Dominator, incendiary Breaker, and the Autocannon.

I'd argue even for solo play, almost everything is viable and useful if paired with stuff that can cover its weaknesses. But you definitely miss out on more specialised builds, and people also get the idea that you have to kite, when a coordinated team can definitely hold their ground.

In my experience, its more fun than viability. Im of the opinion a weapon can have a role but still be useful in other scenerios if you can make it happen. Spear is great anti-air/ structure, but can one shot heavies if you can get the right angle, but the lock on inconsistency makes it feel like Super Shit. On paper it should be the best option against bile titans because it can one shot, but (personally) rarely seen it on bugs on higher difficulties. Plus, the community is on extremely low morale at this point. The faults of the game seem more present than ever and that wont change until the game does. People want a power fantasy, and that doesnt necessarily mean they want to be OP just FEEL OP. Sort of reminds me of that one WW2 game where each side had identical smgs but one had punchier sound design, so all the players thought it did more damage and performed better. Ill reply with it if and when I remember the name.

This destroy bases mission are ok, I think missions where you have to stay longer on objectives like ICBM, the fuel one or checking veins are the most annoying because of the patrol thing

the teams i play with usually kinda split as 4 anyway so solo patrols just feel the same as when i'm playing 4 honestly. its harder because you have to do every objective yourself and avoiding patrols can be annoying but it hasn't been a huge deal.
