R5 5600 + 3060 with custom settings, I get about 70-80fps average. Quite optimized for an engine that has been stopped supporting 6 years ago.

I have a 3060 laptop gpu and a 12th gen intel core i9 I only get about 60 FPS when most settings are set to low, is there something Im doing very wrong?

Laptop...means there's vendors junkware pre-install. That's the first thing I'll check. Did you test or check out what might be causing the low FPS? What process did you already try besides drop to low settings?

@@RespawnPC Thanks for the response! :) I did slightly throttle my CPU, removed that and that slightly improved the performance. It's also not as bad as it sounds in the first comment, it's basically 60-70 most of the time, but the second any explosions or gun fights occur it drops to 50 and sometimes even beyond that. And I didn't really try anything else, mostly cause I don't really understand most of the stuff anyway.

I get around 45fps on low 1440p with a 3060 and 5600. My ram and CPU are usually at 80-90% utilization and I have 16gb of ddr4. Do you think the ram could be hurting performance?

It might be. Helldiver 2 is quite hungry in resources. But you also play at 1440p, i guess you're playing at medium -some high ?

@@RespawnPC Yeah, I do optimized settings with the ones that effect performance most at low and everything else at medium. I've turned all setting to the lowest possible and it doesn't have much impact on FPS.

Ok...90% of my testing I do 1080p...did you try 1080p? Even if your monitor is 1440p 😂

I'm looking to upgrade my PC for this game. Is this the GPU you'd recommend. I plan on completely upgrading my PC (I have a Radeon 580 right now) because of old hardware. Most of my stuff is from 2017 and I haven't done maintenence or upgrades since I got it. Is there any other upgrades you recommend?

1660 super with i7-10700f rocking 55 avg on high at 1080. Which is weird seeing it compared to newer stuff. I just ordered a 3060 12 GB

I know right. This game is more CPU intensive than GPU., but the 3060 is a nice upgrade from 1660.

I have the same setup with 16g of ram get around 50-60 during intensive combat on difficulty 7 or higher. Let me know if anyone has a fix

@@demus89 i had the same issue and for me its because i was playing it on native render qaulity reducing it to ultra qaulity high preset gave me 70-80 fps on intensive combat

@@starmier9034 yeah weird... I bumped the graphics up to ultra quality on everything put the render quality to ultra as well and used Nvidia experience to overclock. Locked my fps to 60 at 1080p seems to hold stable. May drop down to 57 during heavy combat but hold 60 pretty consistent. I'll try and unlock the fps see if it works better.

I have Acer Nitro 5 24ram, intel i9-11900H and an RTX 3060, My settings has been set to low and 1600x900 resolution and on Native render scale, with frame limit to 60. Yet somehow I still get like 40-60, lowest I got was a 29 on a very explosive match. I've done what I can already to try and up the performance from solutions I found on the web, even tried undervolting with throttlestop but I can't even get a stable 60 fps when fighting in the open, especially if the fog is present in the entire map. Even without the frame limit, I still get these intensive frame drops, especially when I turn off the undervolt from throttlestop. I guess this probably has something to do with Acer Nitro 5's or something, as I even experience frame drops on other games lmao, and well, from similar issues I saw from other people lmao.

If you haven't checked yet, Acer are notorious for the junk app pre-installed on their machines. You probably have some craps you don't need or didn't know you have running in the background. So the first step I'll do will be looking for junkware.

Wow ok, even at that resolution that's what you get is it thermal throttling? I had to get a laptop cooler to sit on it because my temps are really high. I dropped almost 15°c doing so.

@@RespawnPC yeah, pretty much, as for thermal throttling, when throttle stop is on, I get arround 74, and up to 82 when it gets rather intensive lmao. With it off. I've also had a laptop cooler and a stand even already since before I bought thia laptop. With the cooler I usually get a -3°c at times, mostly since I already have the AC directed to my laptop already from above to keep it cool, so I just use the stand to lower the dust getting blowned inside. Though recently, I went ahead and re-installed the game this time on my ssd as I usually have games installed on my hdd for space. Performance wise, its quite the same, usually 40-58 fps, albeit more stable, only have gotten low to 30-ish on a a map with alot of fog and explosions, though loading times have tremendously decreased, so thats an up I suppose.

I have a 3060 ryzen 5 5600g and it drops to 30 fps or lower even un 720 p lowest settings

I guess you also have 16g of memory. The only thing I can think of is there probably a lot of apps running in the background.

@@RespawnPCTry benchmarking in difficulties 7-9 and planets with vegetation and fog it's a serious impact. I have ryzen 5 2600 @4.1GHZ and rx 5700 xt with 16gb RAM in dual channel and its 85 to 30 fps range depending on difficulty and map. I am definitely CPU bottlenecked in high difficulty scenarios but I am not so sure the game is well optimzed either, especially for those difficulties and I don't know how much fps I will gain to switch to ryzen 5600 as I've seen people with higher end rigs say they have poor fps like this guy, so seems like waste of money.

I know, I've even been able to play with a i5-2500, pegged at 100%, and raising in power, cpu and GPU, the gain isn't that much

This game is cpu intensive. You need a cpu that can boost to minimum 5ghz and above to get high fps from that rtx 3060

@RespawnPC new cpu's like the cheapest ryzen 7500f can effectively reach 5 ghz stock and 5.5ghz with easy overclocking. Its Cheap as well.

Even if it is...you get more than 100 FPS, other play at a meager 30fps at LOW settings.

I'm on a 3090 and also hit 65-75% load on ultra with FPS of 60-80 on lvl 7 with hordes. Not sure why this game doesn't max out my GPU. :(

I hahe rtx 3060 12gb and 5600x and it cant handle the game well. Low graphix and above difficulty 5 its alwaxs sub 60

@@RespawnPCnaa i have nothing running in the background. I set everything to low today and it fluctuates between 90 and 60 now in action , but still very weird stuttering and drops going on.

What is your CPU and RAM? You should get higher than me with that card.

@@RespawnPC I9-11900F, 64 GB ram. Keep in mind (for some reason) the 3070 Is a 8 gig card. just faster in some areas. I am running the game in 1440P, high settings, with render distance at max.
