HH , I don't see anyone mentioning but you can equip all champions with the CVC reward rings that give the wearer 5% shield after attacking so you don't trigger the SK's counter. If you have champions that are high enough HP / Def, they will just slowly survive his hits and if you can get some turn meter control in there, then awesome. Every now and then his A1 will provoke but then you'll hit him and get the shield again and he won't counter. I don't think enough people know this.

Finally beat the scarab king tonight. Destroy set was the key for me and taking relentless gear off of Jintoro. He always out ran his shield. Then I was trying with my weak sauce guys. Even built an arminger and alot of others I didn't end up using. Dutchess Lilitu, Jintoro, Deacon Armstrong, Melga Steelgirdle, and the key to finally getting the W outside of destroy gear was Hope. So what I had struggles with was the turn control was out of the question amd trying to force something I just am not capable of doing right now. Also I have little to no masteries on anyone outside of a couple on my main 5. So I viewed it as I have 3 turns to get the shield down and do as much damage as possible. So if I go provoke and fear I can maybe get lucky with enough damage. If interested fight highlights: shield set kicks off the fight Deacon is my fastest, uses A2 for decrease defense, Jintoro doesn't have A2 so I use my A3 and take a quarter of Kings shield and immediately realized I can do this. Melga shield 1 turn away from cool down so A1. Hope uses her shield and lilitu viels the party. King hits steals buffs but leaves Jintoros and Hope. Deacon is A3 and jintoro A2s the turn meter and takes shield to basically half. Melga puts shield on and doing good. Full rotation of attacks and Kings shield is almost gone and roughly 60% health. Then king hits and the rng leaves most of my shields and just keep cycling with attacks till hop pops her shield back and Jintoro finishes it off with his 2nd A3. Super pumped great fight and so happy. Just now have to redo my gear and get everyone ready for more fun.

I got super lucky and managed to get past scarab with metalshaper. Your site and this series has been key in my progress as a new player though. Farming speed boots in nightmare has been helping a ton for gearing too. Thanks for all the knowledge!

Geomancer Reflect damage doing big lifting! Nicely done H. Once you get some more Bloodshield rings from CvC Scarab turns into a baby of a fight. Started doing Hard for the first time this rotation, and beat the first Hard Scarab with 2 lv 50 champs. It's a bit unfortunate we're now an extra rotation away from returning to Frost Spider, for your current champs this is the easiest one & I was getting my hopes up you get the first DT win real early. Make people go "what? no way, must've gotten lucky", y'know? My first Normal clear was on Eternal Dragon though, so who knows? Wishing ya luck mate!

Geomancer is a beast !!! when I get my shield removed, I would have straight leave the battle but Geo kept the dmg alive. damn I don't regret not spending my 50 dollars for him recently but he is a game changer for f2p and low spenders.

Been struggling with Borgoth,. Threw Apothecary. Everyone else died except him 1/4 of the way in. Apothecary basically soloed him.

For Mino I put one nuker +4 champions that need levelling and masteries. It takes longer to get them to full masteries because all four are colecting them but at the same time they collect exp

i was stuck on scarab as f2p a long time. no good provoke champs. videos said 'sentinel' would work, but I got him to 50 and geared him as best I could (F2P) and still couldn't make that work with all my R60 other champs which included Lyss, Scyl, Seth, Kael and others. Then I got Bloodshield rings from CvC. Then I could use my main champs (to handle waves) and problem solved. Scarab is kitten if your team wears them.

The first several times I did scarab on normal I completely ignored turn meter, shields and destroy gear. I just put in very defensive heroes and scarab eventually dies since he doesn't heal.

The thing is Scarab is a challenge or only a moderate one depending on who you pull if you pull a Vergis early he will be able to Solo it should he reach 60 you will STILL want destroy gear even for the early one for Vergis as it will take an eternity to kill him if you don't equip the gear or have high masteries and damage on your team with a Valerie protecting your team as the Scarab WILL steal Vergis buffs even IF you have him.

Big news ! Valla can solo the scarab king 🙈😁. I never had 40+ resistance on her gear so had to put in rector drath just to boost the resistance up a little bit . My valla level 60 Life steal gear + defence gear common 4-6 star All level 16 . Boots speed , life steal common 6star Chest defence % defence gear common 5 star Gauntlets crit rate defence gear common 6 star Weapon , helmet , sheild 6 star life steal rare. Ring hp Amulet crit damage Banner accuracy Masterys attack crit rate , life steal , helm smasher . Defence - def - blast proof - shadow heal cycle of revenge - retribution .

Armiger is in my doomtower hard Scarab Team with destroy set. No other Damaga dealer did it for me better. Max LP hits in Destroy sets are awesome especially with high LP pool of DT Hard.

scarab king shivers in his boots when seeing armiger :) had to regear mine for for hard 100 scarab king :) for more accuracy and speed.

If you're building Armiger for Scarab only, you get an extra 15% crit rate, because he's strong affinity. I seem to remember you also get like 30 Accuracy, but I can't find it now.

Even in global, i consider myself to be close to endgame, compared to you i am a beginner. But when you talked about 6starring deacon or ninja, i thought its kinda stupid to prefer ninja over deacon. in my mind i was comparing ninja and deacon over and over again, and im not surprised you did this decision. Its unfortunate that your knowledge of the game and your knowledge of the important parts of gear got you to this point faster than I did I am sorry to admit that the fact your not genuinely new to this game allowed you to progress a new account faster. This does NOT mean I'm not progressing even on my first account I 6 starred a Valerie yesterday for the shields and she should be HUGE for buff extension for ally protect and shields to progress me through most Areas in the game got her to lv 33 now at rank 6 but its going to be a while before her level is maxed. I am excited that you are using Valerie because I feel she looks good and does well for the team without being excessively difficult to get.

Biggest thing that kept me from progressing past Scarab King was the cost of regearing everyone specifically for him. When I finally did that it went from impossible to easy, but man I hate the silver cost of gear swapping.

Bit jealous on the deacon but honestly I'm pretty happy with all the support I have right now. Still could always use a Deacon!

Today i finally beat second ice spider with Apo, Ninja and High khatun. Cold heart and srag knight died however.. rly hard it was.

Just today I soloed this bastard with Vergis. Granted, it took a whatever team with him to clear the trash mobs before that, but literally anyone who can survive until the boss will do. Then it's just watch everyone but Vergis die and wait, and my Vergis is in crap mixed gear and almost no masteries.

OMG FINALLY PASSED THIS SHITTY FUCKIN LEVEL IM SO HAPPY!!! i didnt know about the rng thing with the shield on valerie so i always thought i was fucked out right. I made it through with shit gear on armiger and valerie but brought in leorious, blind seer and madame. Jesus this took me weeks to get over now im breezing passed it. Thank you for the video!

Because it's a Force affinity boss, your Armiger should be getting a 15% crit boost. So, you'll only need 85% total, you're close.👍

So, the funny thing is that while P2P players get mad when pulling a Champfort, he's a fucking gold mine to a F2P player. He can solo IG20 in a reasonable amount of time (4-5 minutes), is a low-threshold 12.3/12.6 nightmare farmer, and a low threshold Scarab farmer even without a good Destroy set.

I beat scarab king by using people that don't add a bunch of buffs, do decent damage, and healing. Vrask, Scyl, Dhukk, Tormin, Skullcrown. Never have an issue. Just... takes a lil while haha.

Don't max Apothecary. He is just as good as 50 since you can Deacon for TM boost and Leech everyone to max HP.

NGL, i have beaten normal DT on the other rotation, ive JUST got past the first scarab boss with a double lvl 50 allure, 60 armager, 60 Ursala and metalshaper... cant even get through the wave on the second boss

Only reason I ever beat this sucker on my first account is because of Vergis in Destroy gear. I'm still stuck in the Tower on my first account but not on this boss I'm stuck on the floor with Centurions, Krisks and Chevaliers past the duplicate Agreth as dumb as this sounds right now and am trying to find a way to deal with it I hate to say it but the waves past that point are BRUTAL. (There ARE duplicate bosses in this tower as much as this SUCKS.)
