First of all, i didn't expect the level of editing that I found here. I know you're used to the level of quality you put out in your videos, but having such an easy to watch and enjoyable "2023 recap video" was a treat. I try to imagine the kind of vids I do now, where I talk to the camera. My vids usually have long pauses or slip ups. Confusion. Off the track. Incoherency. But this vid is so smooth! It has no pauses, and has constant flow. And whenever you're talking about something, we get to see it too. Watching this video shows me how essential it is to just put in the relatively small but extremely worthwhile effort to edit. Cut pauses, write good scripts, add in stuff like related footage. So thanks for this video, and for a great analysis. It is nice to see you have categorized the big points of your 2023 work. I bet anyone trying to create any form of content will go through the same dilemmas and challenges. Happy 2024!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about how you felt about the video. I guess after shooting and editing a lot, i've kind of understood how to get a certain kind of "flow" Every time I edit, it's always a constant question between what to keep in and what to exclude. I do admit that adding the extra 10% (related footage, text, sound effects) are often a very friction laden tasks, but they add so so much to the video. I found that it helped to edit without rushing for a upload schedule. The other thing that helps is keeping an index of what I want to add in my video editor. Then when I finish editing, i can tick it off one after the other. I'm excited to see you create more, and most importantly find your flow! Happy new year fam!

Happy New Year brother and happy 10 years! As always, i look forward to anything you produce, and I do like the idea of a long form content. Last year was a pretty bad year for me, basically my life came to a halt. But I discovered running, and I went from zero to running 2 half marathons back to back in just 6 months. Running has helped so much. Let’s bounce back this year. We got this bro!
