she was diagnosed with vocal nodules since 2008, and she received treatment after that. but it get worse in 2009, around the time of this episodes.

During this time I think Tiffany was going through throat surgery because she had nodules (growths) on her vocal chords. It was a very serious time for her because it could have meant she lost her singing voice for good. They would return in 2010 and she would get them removed, leading to a permanent (not in a bad way) change in her singing voice.
