I'm so sorry to hear that! Yes if you leave your tamagotchi alone there are two endings that can happen. One is that if you have taken decent care of your tamagotchi it will leave with Hello Kitty at some point. I had this happen to my first one. The other ending is when you take very bad care of your tamamgotchi and it dies. Hello kitty is really sad about it. Sounds like that's the ending you got.

Your Tamagotchi was sad it was so sad that when it's sulk too much it runs away as Hello Kitty looks at your Tamagotchi running away as wind gust blow

If you are worried about price and don't mind an older look you could try out the original Tamagotchi Generation 1 and 2. Those are sold for $20 USD. They don't have color screens though. For me I think the ON is worth the price because of how much you can do with them. They go on for many generations and there are a lot of games and different ways to interact with them. You can also find them for sale at Target if you are in the US and if you aren't then Amazon has good prices depending on which one you want. I say go for it if you have the money! :)

The nice part about the smaller devices is that there really isn't much to read. Just a few button pushes and you'll be able to take care of your Tamagotchi with the help of Hello Kitty. If you've got the money to spare I would say go for it!

Yeah these old style tamagotchis don't come with buttons to turn them off or pause them. For the Hello Kitty one way you can do it is to go to the time screen and press the A and C buttons at the same time. This should make the time start blinking. You can leave it like that as a "pause" but the battery continues to be used. The one good thing about this tamagotchi I have found is that it's very resilient- you can leave it alone for hours and it should be fine!

Congrats on your first Tamagotchi! I hope my video was able to help a bit with some of the questions you have. I didn't talk about turning it off though because yes it does stay on forever. You might be able to pause it by going to the time and hitting the left and right buttons at the same time to set it- then just never actually start the time back up. It's a very easy Tamagotchi to take care of though so if you're busy in school or work it'll be okay for the day. My latest character was around for 2 weeks and I only checked on it a few times a day :)

Yes you can definitely fix the time. All you need to do is hit the middle button to bring up the time, then hold down the left and right button and you should be able to change the time from there. I hope you are having fun with the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi!

Hi! Yes the white shell has the same programming. It's been a long time, but I think if you hold down the left and the right button an option should come up to let you turn off the sound.

I had such a hard time with those games when this first came out. It took a bit but you can get used to the speed of the piano game. I find it's easier to play with the sound on even though that can be annoying if you have other people around lol

Hey! Yes I have issues with the time on mine too sometimes. If I'm remembering correctly, you have to be on the time screen, then you hold down both A and C (left and right buttons). That should let you fix the time.

There isn't a pause option on this Hello Kitty Tamagotchi. It will go to sleep at night so you don't have to worry about it while you are sleeping.

Hi Izabella! I have a whole video about this called "Can you turn a Tamagotchi Off?". I say you can leave it alone all day, but if you are worried about it you can go to the time and set it, but don't actually change the time. Leave it on the time changing screen and that should stop it for a bit.

I’ve had that happen too! Did you recently change the batteries? Tighten the back of it up with a screwdriver. The batteries could be loose.

Hi! The only way to turn it off is to take the batteries out. This will reset your tamagotchi and start you over with a new egg though.

@@lauz3945 I have actually left mine home during the day while I’m working. This tamagotchi is very hard to kill once it’s an adult. As long as you take care of it before and after school it should be fine!

Hi! The tamagotchi doesn't have an On/Off switch and it doesn't have a pause button either. To completely turn it off you will need to remove the batteries- but please note that for this one that will reset your data! If you are worried about taking care of it during the day at work or school I can tell you that I've left mine at home all day and it hasn't died. This one is really easy to take care of.

Yes eventually the battery will die. I've had this Tamagotchi since December 2020 and I think I've changed the batteries 2 times. They should last a couple of months. The way the device is set up there is no way to turn it off.

I don't remember this one dying, I think it runs away with Hello Kitty if you don't take care of it. After it leaves you can start over.

It is very simple. I recommend this one to people who want to have a virtual pet but don't have a lot of time to take care of it. I do agree with you though, I wanted it to have more things too!

@@indyisthebestcat Silly me, I forgot that is what happens at the end of the game! I don't think there is a specific amount of time. The guide says your Tamagotchi will leave with Hello Kitty after enough care mistakes are made. I vaguely remember the game lasting around 2 weeks.

Hi! Here's what I found in the instructions: Pressing the B button will open the clock screen, and pressing A and C together will allow the user to set the time.
