The whole show was a riot. The guy who I was living with at the time (he was living under my roof), was so offended by this show. He knew if he objected, he would be on shaky ground. And, assumed it would be grounds for me putting him out. I wouldn't have minded, if he had objections. But, it was more telling of him (he was a drinker, that was a very toxic mix.), that he thought objections to this show would make grounds for him being asked to leave.

Be honest, what would you have said to your Asian friend if he hadn’t laughed, and then proceeded to tell you why he finds this offensive? What would you have said to him? Be honest. People from other cultures often feel pressured to laugh at insensitive jokes just to avoid being singled out, or being seen as “too sensitive”, or just to avoid the argument that might occur. To be clear, I find the sketch quite funny, but I would understand completely why someone wouldn’t. I wish they’d at least used an Asian comedian instead of putting Lucas in yellowface. It’s almost as cringey as that scene in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Everyone has different humour but they'd be no friend of mine in the first place, if they spent their time moaning that someone offends them. Life itself is about learning to be happy. There's many reasons why a person might choose to be unhappy, but as a professional psychologist, the happiest, kindest, genuine and most caring people I've come across, have always been those who suffered abuse, hardships and sadness first. They are the least likely people to be offended by pettiness or trivial things that other people do with their lives, because they learn quicker to focus on their own.
