The AI used to be fantastic! It would actually work out the quickest way for the Neighbour to catch you, even if it meant busting doors down. In later releases, he’d just chase you in a direct path or jump through a window, it was far less intense. Plus the jumpscare of when he first sees you in the early alphas, paired with the mysterious tone of the game was so much more suspenseful and made you afraid to go around his house

The AI in the final Pre-Alpha just has the Neighbor watch Tv for about 3 minutes then checks on the basement door then repeat these Idle Tasks. That’s what he does on Stage 1 when all the things are still on the basement door. However, there are still 1 or 2 more stages and additional idle tasks unlocked depending on if you open the key lock or peel the boarded blocks off the basement door or push in the right buttons through the number combination pad thing Even then the final result of the Pre Alpha’s development didn’t have much in store compared to the Pre-Alpha in Early development, where they were mainly focused on the intelligence of the AI

This is what Hello Neighbor should be. A dark and noise absent game trying to bust into your house without getting caught. And the Neighbor could on you super quiet before it is too late.

Yeah, it was just a secret door and no basement. The basement was added in Alpha 2. Which was also amazing. Alpha 3 is the one which ruined the game. Alpha 3 is the nightmare version. Like it's so dark!!! Also, Alpha 4 is cartoon and puzzle and not scary anymore. Then, act 1,2 and 3 came which has the exact look of alpha 4.

That black light trick in the game took me a few hours to figure out because I don’t know how to figure out the black light I know how to use it I just couldn’t figure out what to do with it until I saw a walk-through of it and then I went to the right painting and saw the numbers and I did it in a beat hello neighbor of the pre-alpha

I like the fact when you crouch on the objects and then you started flying and remember the flying trashcan glitch and also when you run jump at the shark or the neighbor you can jump on the cutscene when you get caught or when the neighbour reacts and he sees me I get caught and jump on the neighbors body and more glitches or when i grab a trashcan on the car and then i jump on the rulf or when i press z and then i fall the neighbor sees me and then he start flying and jump at me and then caught me or the when i open the door or closed then i got stuck and also when you and the neighbor run walk to the beartrap when you press e on beartrap you and the neighbour stuck on the beartrap forever and also the neighbour when he caught us he stuck on the cutscene forever on the beartrap and when hiding behind the bed or closed doesn't have a animation oh the good old days
