But back then they were mostly freestyling, they would have a couple pre-meditated bars or lines, and maybe think of a couple bars or lines leading up to the battle, but the majority is freestyled. Thats why Em said things like "I'm gonna lunge in to ya dungeon, mothafucka, you spongin" he's literally saying nothing just rhyming to rhyme (which is whatever), but against Juice it's not going to help you. Juice was 99% freestyling, maybe a few pre-meds. Juice is just one of the top 3-4 freestylers in the world. But after seeing his last couple he's done, I'd argue he's the best in the world right now. He's gotten much better over the years. Him vs Supernatural rematch needs to happen and I'd love to see him vs King Los too

Juice was smooth but his style was fairly conventional. He didn't really rhyme across bars and switch up his rhythm and shit the way Em did. Em wasn't as smooth, but he was doing shit that the people couldn't even appreciate at the time. On top of that, he was fearless. Stepping into the lion's den and laying everything on the line without compromising his style. Respect.
