Profts draws 1 card, play with fire crime draw discard brings them to 6 with 3 cards drawn, duelist now at 3 plus 2 counters from proft draws makes him 5 plus chicken is lethal😢

I would love me some Izzet, been wanting to play for a long time but couldn't build a competitive deck. What's the win percentage of this deck out of the matches you have played? Because as I see, these matches are only the ones you have won. And these wins relied heavily on Duelist of the Mind, a 4/60 card that's openly available to kill by any removal and this deck has nothing to protect him. As much as I want to play Izzet, I always see flaws in Izzet decks.

Izzet is not a strong color combo in standard as of now. This deck is actually quite okay, you can kinda aggro with the other creatures + eidetic and can easily look for any card with brass. But yeah still not that consistent. I'm actually a sucker for Izzet too, my go to deck for ladder is actually izzet artifact with Simulacrum, Bitter Reunion, and that 9 mana red artifact card with haste (forgot the name). I climbed to mythic with it easily, but yeah still an inconsistent deck haha.

love this deck! but u didn't used play with fire attacking for two times! that one should commit crime and give a +1 to your duelist .. you should win the last one easily T_T

Not to be THAT guy, but I believe you have lethal on that last game. Proft's Eidetic Memory draws 1, Play with Fire draws 1 because of crime. So the Duelist is a 3/3, gets 2 counters from Memory becoming a 5/5. 5 from Duelist, 2 from Play with Fire and the final mana into End the Festivities makes 8.

yup, it’s a clear lethal. basically what you said, the phenix chick or end festivity all get the job done. OP plays the deck pretty sloppy tbh.

The most explosive deck in Standard is 5c Legends. Potential 34 damage on 4. Edit: and by potential, I mean I've done it. T1 skrelv T2 hajar T3 gwenna T4jodah, untap gwenna, goddric, cascade into feldon Skrelv 7/7, hajar 9/9, goddric 10/10 flying, feldon 8/8

Izzet deck? Does that mean we're getting an upgraded Izzet Dragon deck with Terror of the Peaks soon? I can dream. Real talk, whenever I see Duelist in my game, I think it's a non-Planeswalker Jace. Only in this video did I realize it is not Jace lol

Nice deck but man, your intros are always so awfully long. I know we can skip them anytime but I feel like after so much time into standard there's no need to explain what a sokenzan does or what Rona does so much in detail. Focus on the key, new cards and that's it!

Yeah, I usually skip intros to most standard decks at this point. Even the new cards are pretty intuitive on how they interact with the deck and the game plan of what is being desired.
