Nice video. Thanks. I have a C200 and think its awesome, but its too heavy for me to use hand held for very long (especially with the top handle which they should've made out of lighter materials). My B cam used to be a C100 MarkII, but I now use a Panasonic GH5s, and with the colour matrix on the C200 set to 'EOS original', the 2 cameras colour match almost perfectly. The GH5s is better in low light, weighs a lot less, offers 10bit recording, higher frame rates and costs 1/3rd of the price. However, autofocus on the C200 is the killer feature, its the reason I own this camera and its truly amazing. If you try STM lenses, you'll see it slows down right before the focus is established and looks like a smooth pro focus puller is on the job. It gives me a hard time choosing between the better quality L lenses or the cheap 50mm f1.8 STM. Try it. Maybe I'm just getting old or need to go to the gym, but the weight saving of the GH5s is actually a bigger deal to me, and consequently I use it more than the C200.

Interesting! Great to know it's possible to get the cameras to match so well. Definitely hear what you're saying about the GH5s weight compared to the C200. These two cameras are in very different categories. We likely wouldn't have purchased the C200 if we were going to use it only for weddings.

This is exactly me right now. Have a c200 and c100 mk ii. I’ve been carrying these cameras handheld around on weddings for over a year now and I think it’s destroying my arms and back 😂 I’m an active 18 year old and I shouldn’t feel as old as I do after shooting a wedding. So I got a gh5 to test out and have been loving it. I love the insane IBIS. But thinking about selling my c100 and get a gh5s for a B cam and lowlight.

Hi! We loved this camera but we ended up selling late last year. We ended ups switching to the C70 as it's image quality is very similar and better than the C200, plus the size is very small. But the C200 is still a fantastic camera!

Hey great video.. I am panning to use C300 Mark ii for wedding. It will be first time, I want to know, dose C300 mark ii touch focus works all over the screen like canon dslr or its just center based?

Thanks so much!! I’ve never used the C300 mkii but if it’s similar to the C200’s autofocus then yes the touch focus works all over the screen.

since I camera doesn't have in-body stabilization but with the size of it you probably don't need it lol. I heard there autofocus is pretty good, but in my opinion I don't think it's good for wedding videography for the simple fact that it is a pretty big camera and if you're running gunning it all day. it might be a little too much I personally I just prefer to either get a Canon R5 if I was a Canon user. but I'm a Sony user so I rather stick with my Sony a7iii. Don't get me wrong I'm not trashing the camera or the people or used it. because I do think it's a really good camera.

Great video, thanks a lot! I am in the process of buying a C200 myself and have a really stupid and noob question but.. i will ask anyway simply because I dont know about it or how this camera works. When shooting RAW, are any video profiles or LOG modes selectable or can/need to be applied (like when shooting MP4), or because its RAW, basically is just RAW straight out of the sensor with no procession and end of story? Thanks again :)

Hi, so you all don't do any gimble shots or steadicam for wedding? Does that mean you always shoot in 60fps or 120fps and slow down in post? Do you all carry any tripod or monopod, sliders for wedding using c200? I dont think you all handheld it all the way right? Nice videos and its good to see you all back in youtube

Thanks so much for the kind words! We do indeed use gimbals but we try not to use them too much, and we don't necessarily use them at every wedding. If the story calls for it then yes we'll definitely use them. We should clarify that most of the day we spend on monopods, but for moments like the first look, processional, or portrait time ... we will often shoot handheld at 24fps and 60fps. We love that intimate slow motion hand held feel.

We use a variety of lenses. Mainly canon L series primes... 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 135mm. Hope this helps!

What do you think about the 120p Slow Motion?? Also does diesel pixel autofocus work when Camera shoots 120p slow motion???

We haven't used the 120fps slow motion a whole lot but from the little that we have, we're very impressed. Love not having to crop in on the sensor. Unfortunately the autofocus does not work when shooting in 120fps.

Would love to see the Ronin S with the C200. I have used my C200 on a Ronin M and its been OK (Haven't tried the counter balance weights yet). Have you tried using proxies with the Raw footage. I have not attempted yet but I'm curious about the best workflow.

Ya we're definitely very interested in trying the Ronin-S with the C200. Goo do hear the Ronin-M is OK with the camera. Has the weight been tricky for you? We haven't used proxies yet. Fortunately since Premiere has added support for cinema raw light our workflow is just like using any other footage :)

I was up against some time restrictions and just tossed it on without getting a perfect balance. I'm sure the motor had to work a bit harder that usual. The weight wasn't too bad to handle having two handles to hang onto. I'm curious about how the weight will feel on the Ronin S with only the one handle. Keep up the good work. I just came across your channel and have enjoyed watching your content.

I like your Videos so far. You should have more followers. I bought the Canon C200 today. I´m just scared about the workflow using cinema raw footage. I dont really know if I just put the footage in premiere pro cc directly or im gonna start usin davinci resolve.. maybe you have some tricks for me ! :) greetz from germany

Wow thank you so much! Congrats on the purchase! We think you'll love the camera. For us we just use the native cinema raw light footage in Premiere Pro CC and it works really well. No conversion needed. You'll definitely notice your machine start dropping frames especially when using LUTs but for us it hasn't slowed us down.

Hi Teddy! Yup you can record with autofocus on in 4K 8bit 60fps. We don’t do it super often but it’s a great option to have.

Wow thank you so much! When we use RAW we shoot mostly 10 bit as that is the limit when shooting in 60fps. If we're shooting 24fps then it's 12 bit and oh so pretty.

Thanks for this great Video! We received our C200 a few days ago and we have some problems with the export. We grade the footage in premier pro CC 2019 and every time we export the clip the footage is totally overexposed! We tried to export in H.264. Does someone know how to fix that? Thanks in advance!!

Hi there! Awesome video! It was really helpful! I've been wondering why the footage seems so dark in C-log 3. Just to mention I'm not a professional or anything, just doing filmmaking as a hobby, but why does the footage seem so dark in C-log? I'm considering buying this camera, will have to save a lot, but I want it so badly!!

Thanks so much! So glad the video was helpful! What you're likely seeing is just our personal preference for grading. We tend to grade on the darker side. Or it's possible you're seeing the ungraded Clog footage which appears muddy/grey because it is retaining so much information in the shadows/mids/highlights. A simple grade/LUT would bring back all that contrast :) Hope this helps!

Oh good idea! We'd love to play with the crane 2. We've seen some people able to get the c200 mounted on that gimbal. We didn't upload this video in 4k because since we wanted to have the C200 in the shot, we needed to film this video on the c100 :)

Hi Eugenio! We are a big fan of Canon L series primes. We shoot most of. Our jobs with the Canon 24 f1.4, 35 f1.4, 50 f1.2, and 135 f2. Love the bokeh that prime lenses offer 👌🏻

Don't you need to use IS lenses for weddings or corporate videos? I got a C200 a couple weeks ago and I'm trying to get into filming again here in the UK. I'm planning to get a gimbal for more stable shots. Tks for your advice.

IS is definitely nice but since we shoot on monopods most of the day, it’s not a necessity. We have heard great things about the canon 35mm f2 IS and the canon 85mm f1.4 IS but haven’t used them yet. How are you liking the C200 so far?

Hey guys looking for some clarification. Does the C200 allow for double slot recording at 4K60P for the mp4 recording? Would be awesome to have an immediate backup on wedding days! I’m having a hard time finding answers for this online.

Hi Matthew! Yes the C200 does in fact allow for UHD 60fps mp4 dual slot recording. I just pulled out the camera to double check. We usually use relay recording but having the option for an instant backup on a wedding is definitely a huge help.
