Walls of Jericho is the debut full-length studio album by German power metal band Helloween, released in 11/18/85 on LP by Noise Records. It is the only album featuring Kai Hansen as lead vocalist until 2021's Helloween, although he would continue to act as guitarist on the two following albums.

Thats what im talking about is the bass. Its the most incredible bassist freaking awesome to the core playing in any album i ever heard. It blows my mind. I play bass and playing it with your fingers is fkn hard to do its so fast. I love it .. . I can't get enough of this album ... in my mind its the best album that ever lived, bar none .. its my favorite of all time.

1) This album is not power metal. 2) Helloween members get pissed off when interviewers call them power metal. they refer themselves just heavy metal. They just happened to have their distinctive style. Helloween is helloween. Power metal - that's all the other bands that tried to copy their style but now sound like britney spears with shredding.

I remember it like yesterday when I first listened to this record at a local record store in 1986. A mind-blowing experience. I wondered how can anyone play so fast yet melodically. Been a fan ever since.

Přesně tak, od 15 let poslouchám tuto neuvěřitelnou a hlavně dokonalou hudbu, je to opravdu velice zajímavé úžasné fascinující, Geniální zážitek. 👍. Hlavně modulativní práce s hlasem, super bicí nástroje, úžasné kytary, vše je tak krásné úchvatné, bere mě to u srdce, je to opravdu nádherné 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍, už mi je 50 let, pořád to mám rád 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁

Esse álbum tem uma peculiaridade que me faz gostar mais dele do que os outros trabalhos do Helloween (mesmo eu gostando dos outros trabalhos), eu não sei se é a brutalidade sonora, o jeito que as guitarras são ousadas nos solos, o Kai Hansen que mesmo não tendo um vozeirão ele consegue passar uma energia incrível, cara.. eu não sei, Walls Of Jericho é incrível e eu sempre vou guardar esse álbum em meu coração.

I love this album. I had to get 2 on vinyl. The first one I bought (and fortunately still have) has side 1 of Walls of Jericho on one side and side 2 of Celtic Frost's To Mega Therion on the other side. It was kind of a screw-up by Noise, but I consider it a collector's item.

Mispresses like that can go for big bucks. I had Venom "Black Metal" that was mispressed with "Welcome to Hell" A-side and "Black Metal" B-side on brown vinyl. I got $600 about 20 years ago.
