I served 25 years as a police officer here in NH. We have the 2nd largest motorcycle rally in the world here. I was sent to motorcycle club interdiction school. I had the opportunity to stop 45 Hells Angels on Rte. 3 for a reported complaint. Based on my training I sought out not the leader bike but the Sergeant at Arms. I was trained to use caution because my uniform and badge bolstered my colors as they displayed theirs. I met some of the most down to earth guys who are passionate with their cause. Wholesome Americans. Guys and gals who believe and support our liberty and proud way of life and these guys will go to no end to make sure that way of life perseveres. I thank God I met, Jimmy, Ron and Pratt. I'm grateful I was able to go to this school. These guys are not a gang, it's a club with shared interests. 81

Years ago I was driving in Arizona and was at a gas station and saw a few Hells angels next to me fueling up. I noticed a guy had Army Airborne patches on his vest. I asked him what unit was he in and when did he serve. He smiled and said he liked the patch and was not it. Before I knew it the president told the guy to take it off. I had veteran plates on my car and the president apologized to me and said it would not happen again. I shook his hand. Really nice guy.

Did some reading on the Hell's Angles, and the one thing that turned me off, is this rule that no matter what, you back a fellow Angel in a fight no matter what the fight is about. If an Angel gets drunk, disrespects a guys wife in a restaurant, and the husband stands up, it's up the the Angels to rat-pack the guy even though their "brother" was totally out of line. That's bullshit.
@robpolaris50023 жыл бұрын

@@robpolaris5002 Well that is their code not mine. I don't mind them sticking up for a brother who has been done wrong, but if an Angel runs his mouth or is inappropriate with a man's girl, then he should have to stand on his own, not depend on a group of Angels to come to his aid and rat-pack the guy.

Where would the bikers be if everybody adhered to their philosophy? There wouldn’t be anybody around to wake up every single day and engineer and maintain the national infrastructure. Roads, gas stations, manufacturing etc... wouldn’t exist, nor would their lifestyle. They aren’t good with the fundamentals either, specifically freedom of speech. They don’t tolerate any kind of discourse whatsoever. If your opinion differs from theirs, you do so at your own peril. The biker sub-culture is generally flawed. Also, I don’t think that they are bad asses either. I bet most average people could keep up with these guys in a fists only one-on-one fight.

Back in the early 70s my moms cousins were in the Hells Angels. My grandmother told me when my mother graduated high school she came home threw her book bag away and said ‘I’m leaving with cousin Pete for a few months’. My grandmother was like ‘what?’ A few minutes later about twenty Hells Angels rolled up in the front lawn. My mom ran out the door and jumped on a bike,and off she went. My mom was pretty cool. Underneath this facade of just being a brotherhood of independent motorcyclists the Hells Angels are criminals who engage in drug running, extortion, robbery, murder, arson, and any other crime that brings them status and money. They have a history of violence which in turn causes most people to fear them and give them respect of their power. There are those who wish to benefit from this reputation by impersonating the Hells Angels or just dressing in similar ways to take on "the bad boy image". The Hells angels can and will deal with "unauthorized use" of their "colors" and "patches" with unhealthy persuasion techniques. Let the buyer beware.

No not children. It's all about MC rules formalities customs courtesy. No different from trade unions work areas, law enforcement jurisdictions, street gangs turf, or organized crime family claims. You ask what you can represent (via vest patches). You ask for an ok to pass or to conduct business in their territory. Depending what type of patch or where it's placed on a jacket/vest shows that you're a MC or outlaw 1%er MC. Outlaw MC's take patches/colors serious. Other than that, they won't mess with you or your MC.

Oh man that's a bit scary! The Hell's Angel's are hardcore! Now many years ago I was driving down 95 south and I think it was about 6 Hell's Angel's riding this night. It was pouring rain hard. They kept at a safe clip cruising through this mess of a storm. Very safe speed but the tail guy didn't have running tail lights working. I drove my car behind them at least 2.5 car lengths behind them from Richmond Virginia to Fayetteville NC which I had to get off at. I was hoping that they would stop for fuel so I could tell them that the tail end didn't have lights in the rear but they never stopped. I said a prayer for them a safe run because good or bad they ride and as a fellow motorcycle rider I don't ever want them to stop riding. I wish everyone that rides a safe run. MC or not know that what's important is the ride.....sweet freedom. Be safe all of you.
