honestly the only real bad part about stolas is him asking for a reward after saving blitz, thats really messed up. like just because you save someone doesn't mean you get a reward, the act its self is supposed to be selfless.

Well, stolas has practically always made it about sex, blitz has the right to act the way he does. Though, viv did say stolas lacks self awareness, so, I can see why he doesn’t understand.

@@serenity-fu4co the whole deal is indeed centred around sex, however blitzø in the song is very clearly saying that he *only* wants it to be about sex. after ozzies stolas said that they didn't have to so anything, that they could just talk, cuddle. if you read the texts between him and blitzø you will see stolas frequently saying that if blitzø is too tired or simply doesn't want to, then they don't have to do anything. even saying that he doesn't even have to come over, "i can do without the book for a month" stolas grew up isolated and was married at 16yo, he then had a child at that age with a woman who hates him. my analysis of him is based in what i have observed and what i know about psychology (as a 16yo it's obviously limited) both of them are victims in this situation, they are both reacting this way due to trauma. stolas flinching when blitzø yells, blitzø panicking when stolas turns around. stolas wanted to leave, as that was what he knows. he attempted to de-escalate the situation by creating space. he had been mocked, despite being so genuine. he communicated how he felt just fine, he explained that blitzø was, "free of him". the wording implying that stolas is the one who is holding him back. blitzø can't cope with this, he can not fathom why anyone would have genuine feelings for him. the only way he could rationalise it is that its a joke, its role play. blitzø only saw this as abandonment/rejection, and as i myself am rejection sensitive, i can completely see why he immediately went into fight or flight. he got angry to conceal fear and hurt. i never said blitzø doesn't have a right to act the way he does, however after watching apology tour **(spoilers ahead)** he wasn't exactly in the right. he kept making advances even after stolas continuously said no, told him he was uncomfortable, told him to leave, told him, he didn't want to talk. blitzø crossed several boundaries, and based on his past you can explain why. this doesn't mean its ok.

He states multiple times that he finds feelings and relationships 'complicated' and that the transactional relationship they had before 'made sense'. The deal was mutually beneficial, Blitzo agreed to it, (the circumstance was a bit iffy, under duress and perhaps Blitzo felt forced to agree but considered the fact that he doesn't feel afraid to tell Stolas to 'get his feathered ass in bed' i doubt it). The whole deal, the beginning of their relationship was indeed all about sex. Stolas was so excited when Blitzo rang him up and invited him out to Ozzies, only to find out that not only is he on bad terms with a famous clown, not only did he date famous pop singer Verosika Mayday but that the reason he was even invited was so he could spy on M&M. Still, he tries to comfort Blitzo. (Stolas did not cover his face because he was ashamed of Blitzo, that is just how he interpreted it. Stolas felt guilty when they brought up Stella and Via, when Asmodeus said that Stolas 'gave it all up for a thrust'. Stolas has spent more than half his life being told he is an embarrassment, and even longer getting scolded for not acting the 'right' way. He likely didn't want to embarrass Blitzo) After Ozzies Stolas attempts to hang out with Blitzo, watch a movie or cuddle, drink some wine. If you slow down the bit where Stolas pulls out his phone in "Western Energy" you can see Stolas tell Blitzo that he doesn't have to come over, that he doesn't need the book for that month, but that he is free to come over just to chat. These invites were not at all sexual. Octavia will be villainized? By the show? No, she is distressed and confused. She doesn’t understand what is going on and isn’t being told everything. (For good reason, she is young and Stolas is doing everything he can to make sure she doesn't end up like himself.) All she knows is that her father seems to be very caught up thinking about this imp and that this imp is to blame for everything. I highly doubt she is aware of the fact that Stella and Stolas were arranged, nor that they have always been toxic. Its just that Stolas is unable to shield her from it all now. Not to mention, Stella is likely feeding her daughter lies. I do not doubt that she will be villainized by the fandom however. Vilifying one or the other is stupid. This is a dysfunctional pair, and that is the appeal. They’re both broken people with unresolved issues. Making one a perfect, innocent victim and the other a heartless monster is shortsighted and a naive way of viewing both characters and their dynamics. Nothing is black and white. I have a whole google doc (3660 words so far) defending both of them. As I am unsure as to how caught up you are I don't want to spoil anything more. You are entitled to your own opinion, and I enjoy conversing with those with opposing views
