1:54 i love this one! Looks badass and goes with the theme

I prefer the one at 2:00 Also a few things worth keeping in mind are 1. Neck dive. If your body is too light, or if the strap button isnt placed far enough from the body's center of gravity (happens often with single cut designs), you'll have neck dive. 2. Empty spaces in a guitar body may not be ergonomic. If you have somewhat substantial holes if the way of your picking hand, it might be very uncorfomtable and prevent you from resting your hand/arm properly agaisnt the body. Also, depending where the holes are, it might also aggravates the neck dive problem. 3. String noise. I don't know what is your solution for the pickups, but you thumb and palm are going to generate noise when pushing agaisnt the strings on the "back" side of the neck. If your pickups are capturing the sound of all strings at the same time, it's going to be very noisy I presume. One solution miggt be to use a pickup selector that not only change which strings are captured, but also rotate your neck. You would both command happening within a signle switch.

I like the last two. I think the futuristic design fits the concept better.

I would personally go with the first one, but i like the second one too. The contrast between the futuristic neck and the classic body-shape is really nice

My favourite is the third design, but I feel like the fourth one matches with the concept better. Also number 4 would look very cool in a KZfaq thumbnail.

Number 3 personally, as long as you can reinforce that body enough. This has me absolutely hooked.

The fact that the strings don’t make a flat surface (like picked instruments usually are) but a curved one makes this thing a possibly bowed instrument. Imagine a cylinder of strings with a resonate box/column in the middle, without a guitar-like body. That will be a360 degree cello… I also think those futuristic guitar bodies fit the concept better anyway

I like the 2:00 one the most. Also the hole in the middle of body seems useful for strumming. What i would change though is making it symmetrical

I like the one at 2:24 because I feel like this guitar should have a more solid look, but some cutouts like in the first one could be cool
@kingwilbertagbayani64808 ай бұрын
I think the first one, the one at 2:00 and the one at 2:41 is the best, but the triangle on the top on 2:41 feels like it could restrict the hand's movement, making the bottom kinda useless(?), I really like the first one for its traditional looking design but the others are too futuristic IMO, I'd say a mix between the first and 2:40 for their design

The guitar body design should let you hold it at 45ish degrees so it will be easier to play. Basically I think you should have a desing that is easier to play rather than better looking, but it can be both.

3rd one a 1000 times! The shape, the opening in the middle is really matches the neck design. Also because it's more unique.

Personally I think I like designs 3 & 5 the most, having the neck floating would look quite interesting. My concern with #3 especially though would be rigidity, however I feel like that wouldn't be too hard to resolve.

I love those modern ones (2:00 and 2:20) and if more classic then the one at 1:41 with the cutout on the bottom

Very brilliant idea man! I personally really like the guitar shape at 1:55 , but for practical reasons I'd have cutaways on both sides , like for reaching all frets at any side

Putting an acoustic body on it and making it a pseudo hurdy gurdy might be neat lol

On top of that you could mount a pick near the strumming section to see how it sounds when spun, while you could mess with the tuning when the instrument is being played

Could you put an adjustable weight on the right hand side of the guitar to get the right enter of gravity? It could be the position of the weight as well as the actual weight.

interesting bodies. i don't know too much about guitar bodies, but as long as they don't get in the way of the spinning neck then i'm fine with probably whatever body.

If you're going to have a cutout on one side, does it make sense for it to be on the top, so there's still some body at the bottom for you to rest your pinky on? Or does the cylindrical neck mean you won't be able to anchor your pinky anyway, so it's moot?
