Far easier to just slip the whole belt under the tensioner and pull it to the shaft as it moves the tensioner with the belt

Dude, dryers are easyish, but magic. Mine quit igniting after a long two days of me washing laundry when I got home from being on the road. Cycled the gas and power, it came back to life. Thing had ran for an hour, buzzed done, and was ice cold. Smelled like gas. Freaked me out.

Oh ya! You don't appreciate dryers until you have to hang clothes and fitted sheets all around your house to dry! 😆

@@HandymanHertz I couldn't do laundry in my house for years. Long story, but man do I appreciate them. The "installer" left me with a gas leak, and the washer discharge hose still inside the machine. I had a flooded basement floor with suds my first day at midnight. I was pretty livid.

If I spin my dryer drum by hand, the belt will fall off and it is a huge pain in the a$$ to put back on. I will never spin the drum by hand again.

@@MrAsddasdasda Maybe, but I am not going to try it again to test your theory. I had to take all of the sheet metal off of the dryer to be able to put the belt back on.

@@HandymanHertz "Maytag centennial with commercial technology" and it is only 4 or 5 years old. There really is no good reason for me to spin the drum by hand anyways. If I am looking for a particular piece of clothing, I can just pull all of the load out into a basket to find it.

@trendinvestor2893 I did a quick Google images of Maytag belt configuration and it appears it may be opposite of how mine is shown. Maybe look at it and see if that's how yours is. This one had the spring in the right side coming up, instead of coming from the right side.
