fuel pressure gauge? maybe you should mention that is a tool that must be attached to the vehicle...not something on the vehicle you can check.

This happened to me three weeks ago,and I can assure everyone on here that your car doesn't just sputter, it chugs as you're driving jumping between 1and 2,000 rpms and won't go above that,while your exhaust pops black smoke.

Awesome video I think it's about time I have been getting the 3rd and fourth symptoms loss of power when climbing hills and bridges and my V8 drinks a lot of gas loss of gas mileage and sputtering at normal driving will a bad fuel pump cause a misfire? PS My van starts sometimes I notice hesitation when starting right up long starts!

When a fuel pump is going bad? How long does it take? Does it all of a sudden stop and go bad or do you have time? Some of the symptoms you listed, will it is already to late. Will an amp draw test determine if a fuel pump is going bad?

#5 is just what happened today. Not really any of the others. I had to get a new Mass Air Flow sensor because the car was losing power but now the car just went dead. With a jump it sounds strong but wont start. AAA guy says it's not the battery it sounds like the fuel pump. Your video gives me hope lol! Thanks

Hi, my car shakes on climbing a hill, now at home is a steep hill it just switches off before it finishes the hill. But when I drive long distance on straight forward highway it gives problems on lower speeds or when I'm demanding more power from the angen. It due for service I don't know if it Spark plugs or fuel pump. Now it is stuck here at home because it is too steep and there is no enough space to gain momentum first.

My 97 jeep grand cherokee speed drops when go up hills and can not gain much speed that i want on highways it does not matter how hard i pressing on gas peddle to gain speed, until recently check engine light show up , i stopped at auto parts store had that light diagnostic code# says bad fuel pump

Hi there! I own an BMW e46 318i and it's not running properly. Sometimes when I start the car, the engine will start and get to about 1300 RPM and then it will just die, and it will start again, only after a few tries. Or when I press the gas pedal it will accelerate very slow. Or when I drive the car around the engine stops with absolutely no warning. And the fuel consumption grew: from 10.3L/100km to 13.1L/100km. I've changed the fuel filter (I thought it was clogged) and still does the same. I've cleaned the fuel injectors..it does the same. Changed the fuel relay..does the same. After about 2 weeks of guessing what my car has, I've got an OBD II Tester and the only error I get is: Low fuel pressure. The fuel lines are OK, they are not leaking, I'm not losing fuel. So my guess is that the fuel pump is failing. Fuel pumps tend to fail the most when you drive your car for a long time with low fuel level, because the pump cools down with the petrol in the fuel tank (this is what a mechanic told me). So if anyone has the same issues as I do, I suggest that you check the fuel pump first :) Good luck out there and stay safe!

Then took it to the mechanic and he put a new ELD in it....took some things apart and it started up and rode smooth again The second I drove back up that super steep hill, the car started shaking again ready to stall. 2005 Buick Rendezvous 1. Driving and suddenly for a few seconds it will lose some speed and the speedometer arm will bounce. I take my foot off gas and let it roll and then press gas again and it will be okay for a few minutes or 15 minutes and then it happens again. 2. Seems like I am burning more fuel than normal. 3. Sometimes strong fuel smell enters the cab 4. Sometime it hesitates when accelerating (like when traffic light turns green and I press gas) 5. Sometimes slight hesitation (few seconds) when turning key in ignition Does this sound like the fuel pump?

What you are talking is actually what is going on with my vehicle, when i climb a hill i lose power. Let me check my fuel pump but i also hear a whinning noise at high speed and lose also power and the engine shake.

4:00 if the release valve is open and too much gas is being pumped, can that excessive gas get into the engine and dilute the oil ?????

check for fuel pressure at the shraeder valve- if you dont- check the fuel pump relay- if car has lots of miles just get a fuel pump

When I first get in my car after letting it sit for a while, my car will start. I can drive it for maybe 15-20 minutes then my oil light would come on, engine very hot then my check engine light comes on then it starts stalling while driving. Ill pull over put it in park and turn it off then try to start it back up and it hesitate to start but it starts after pressing on the gas. Ill drive off but my car would barely go no matter how hard I press on the gas. It stalls the whole time while driving and It tries to cut off when I come to a stop. I've replaced my alternator and still had the same problem now today I just got a brand new battery and still having the same problem. I don't want to keep putting work and money into it and its not getting any better. Can someone please help me

It’s happening to my other bike since it ain’t been ridden for time and I took it apart now there is an issue with this bike. I guess it is my fuel pump. Thank you for this video as it made me understand more and I will come back to this video and tell you if it has work

If the fuel pump becomes very noisy, could also be a warning sign of it going out. My car died on me today, i suspect fuel pump. I can hear it work though, its very loud, wasnt like that before yesterday. I've also experienced lack of power, car wants to die when i accelerate aggressively.

Just bought a ford ranger 4x4 v6 4L, truck has BIG troubles starting after sitting for 8 hours or so. Changed spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, checked fuses. The truck runs perfectly once started and restarts like its bran new. Only issue is the first start of the day . Learning twords fuel pump (Thinking the 1 way primer valve is fucked). but they cost soo fucking much :(

Man I was going 30 mph in my 2015 F32 and kicked me to neutral and park at that speed. Hit me to a span of 0mph in the matter of 3 seconds. I haven’t had prior issues with this and or any loss of power. Accident happened out of nowhere. Bmw doesn’t want to cover this incident.
