We begin our long weekend by helping Our friends, Jason‪@CogHillFarm‬ and Brooke ‪@mrscoghillfarm‬ with some garden design advice. CogHill Farm has really changed since my last visit and it is beautiful!
Gene took vacation days so we could get some major projects done to the new addition of the Potager garden.
We are all creating some really beautiful garden spaces!

Man, I envy all you guys in the south. Planting, fencing, walking around in shorts and tank tops. Im in Wisconsin and we are a long ways off from any of that. We just got a spring snow. Your gardens are all looking beautiful and nice work on the fence. Nothing sweeter than a husband having the interest and taking off of work to help around the house and in the garden. And your pup is so excited too❤

@@justdigitfarms don't get me wrong, I love our 4 seasons here. I love snow, even snowstorms and blizzards. It's cozy sitting in the house watching the snow. And we're also a snow sports family, but I start getting antsy for spring and summer, especially when the cold and snow drag on into March and April.

Just came by .. from "Cog Hill Farm".. to say Hi. You have reminded me of a few important things.. First, I am no 'spring chicken' and so it is important to Pace one's self. Gardening is so rewarding but I'm learning to not go beyond what's sensable.. FOR ME. Also I'm learnjng to ask for help. My hubby is a sweetie BUT he's just not garden oriented... still, when holes need to be dug, or beds need tilling... he's willing. 😊 Thank You for sharing your beautiful place. 🌹 🌸 🏵

New subscriber here. I live Korean Pears. They are huge and taste like crisp apples. When you get some growing I would literally pay you to ship me some if you do that. Never had one or even heard of them till 2 years ago. I don't like pears but these don't taste like pears. ❤ I'm envious of your gardens. Beautiful!

I know that it's easy to overdo it when you feel better and you want to get so much done. I understand completely and would like to tell you to take it easy but I know how difficult that is to do. I know it was such a relief to get so much done this past weekend. Your gardens and homestead are looking amazing. When people say I work so hard outside, my reply is that I love it and I’d rather do that than sit inside and listen to the clock tick. It took me awhile to build my strength back also after my illness. Just rest when you need to do you can keep moving forward. Quick ? Do you have to harden off vegetables when you grow in a greenhouse like yours? I want to build one for next year because it gets wearisome carrying plants in and out all spring with our fickle weather. I’d like to know more about growing in a home made garden tunnel. Happy gardening. 👩‍🌾💚🌻

Yes me too! It was hard to sit inside when I was so sick. I’m glad you are better and able to work in your garden. I open my doors and window up and let air flow in a lot and I really don’t garden anything off and it all does well.

I don’t have anyway to haul cattle panels. 😢😢 and so want a big tunnel. For Lufahs. I’ve been a big customers of a furniture store. I clean out their cardboard for them. Bahahaha
