I mean it makes sense. Axis has the better team weapons (mostly i am looking at you zis) better tanks and better heavy tanks/TDs. Allies has the better mainline infantry tank destroyers and arty (barring well aimed lucky stukas). This is a bit general tho some factions have differences here and there. Like with the zis gun , stuka comet,Pfusilliers So if you take out your enemy's best assets you kinda win.

In those early minutes, with unvetted conscripts guarding that house, you can probably just set up your mg42 even in just light cover at maximum line of sight and it will shoot the cons out of there

How can you change the enemy color from red to purple? Out of curiosity asking.

It's a setting in the options menu. It gives every player a distinct color, makes it easier to tell if you're getting double-teamed
