Just an average day when using a Hemera

Would you recommend this? The titan on the X1 is always messing up. I have ordered the metal idler for it, but not sure how much difference that will make & now I'm not sure I want to spend $120 trying to upgrade, especially if it's just more of the same issues. So frustrating - it either works awesome or it fails me for weeks.

I disconnected the bl touch / waggster mod until I get time to really did into his firmware. The hemera is great but only if you can level the bed correctly. My issue was the bl touch wouldn't save the leveling data as it should. It would then cause the nozzle to be too close and stop extrusion causing the hemera to jam.

Hello friend, I have the same 3D printed support for the Hemera with bltouch, but the autolevel does not work well since sensing the last 3 points gets out of bed. Please could you share a video showing how to solve this problem or at least your printer and tft screen firmware. Thank you.

Look up Teaching Tech here on KZfaq. He has a guide for installing.

I have this same set up on my Sidewinder X1 and it will print a test cube perfect. The problem I’m having is when I do a print that takes longer than 6 hours it gets about 5 hours or so into the print and just starts clogging up and stops extruding filament all together. I turn it off and back on and hit the Change filament button and it spits filament out like it wasn’t even clogged. Any suggestions what’s going on with this unit ? Thought it was ribbon cable or nozzle so I replaced both.

I'm hoping E3D will do a gear tooth redesign. I think the teeth are too fine causing it to clog up. Now that said I'm trying to print TPU and I'm getting clogs and like you if I change filament it will come out no problem. Let me think about this for a bit. I'll post up when I get my issue fixed.

Another average day with hemera :) Happens EVERY PRINT. I can restart at the failed layer, and a BTT Smart filament sensor helps not to lose the layer it was on, but frustrating. Been 2 months of calibrating with 0 improvement.

no fun:( . Was your retraction distance just a little too high?

No my bl touch wouldn't save after auto leveling the bed and would revert to the original firmware z height. This would be a fraction of a mm too low causing the filament to stop extrusion and jammig the entire system. I finally disabled the auto level and got it working. Sort of. Still working out bugs with my hardware.
